Great location, but noise and housekeeping issues
Hotel Madera was a great choice in terms of location. It’s in a very convenient neighborhood, especially with easy access to the Dupont Circle Metro station. Getting around DC without a car was simple, and I really appreciated that.
However, my room was directly above the restaurant, and the noise was quite disruptive. I could clearly hear the bass from the music throughout the day and evening, sometimes even recognizing individual songs. The sound carried into the room much more than I would expect from a hotel.
Another issue was housekeeping on the day of checkout. Two different staff members came to my room multiple times before the scheduled checkout time. It seemed there was a lack of communication between staff, and I couldn’t understand why they were checking on the room before I had even checked out.
We had a very spacious room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Lots of floor space and large bath room. Great for a family. Great location if you are ok walking and using public transport. Very safe and clean area.
The lobby was odd, felt a bit make shift but everything worked and staff were helpful.
Excellent location, close to all of DC's main attractions. Can get to Georgetown, the National Mall, etc by walking, bus, train, everything is no further than a 30 minute walk (you will walk a lot in DC either way).
The hotels also has their own bikes that you can use withouth any extra charge!
The hotel is located near the metro station. The room is spacious, and so is the bathroom. It is very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The personnel at the reception are friendly. We had a great stay here.

We enjoyed brunch and it was absolutely delicious and the wait staff was amazing!! Definitely can't wait to return!
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that we had to leave. We were booked for one night. However, after that first night, we extended our stay. Would've stayed a 3rd night, but there were no more balcony rooms available.
