Man sollte in London nicht aufs Geld achten und beim Hotel sparen. Sehr kleines Zimmer, kein wirkliches Tageslichtfenster, zu klein, zu ungemütlich. Die Klimaanlage ist laut und funktioniert in dem recht kleinen Zimmer gar nicht gut. Dazu ist sie sehr laut. Das Frühstück ist sehr desolat, selbst für englische Ansprüche.
Das man dann in der Nähe des Hydepark wohnt, macht es nicht wett.
Keine Empfehlung, ich war sehr enttäuscht und hatte wenig Ansprüche.

Room is very warm but there is air conditioning to cool it down.

Shortly before our trip, Booking.com cancelled my reservation because of a problem with my credit card. I had booked long in advance, not the cheapest option, I needed flexibility to cancel or change, so the reservation was guaranteed with my credit card. Months after that, I was called by the VISA company about irregular charges to my credit card, therefore the card was blocked and I got a new one, with a new card number. When Booking discovered the problem, a few days before our arrival, they cancelled the booking without the possibility to recover the reservation, only warning half a day in advance by email, I failed to see this warning in time.This was only a few days before the day our vacation would start. The hotel pointed at Booking, Booking (only reachable via an X-account) pointed at the hotel, but in fact it had been an unattended computer system that kicked us out, and nobody could do anything about it. We immediately made a new reservation, at a 20% higher price. However, the only room available was in the basement, with no possibility to let in fresh air. As we spoke to the staff, they let us know that for this first night the hotel was fully booked, but they offered us a very much better room as from the next day. Although the room was not spacious, it was nice and comfortable and we really enjoyed our visit to London. In the end we were happy, and that's what counts.
One very sad remark about Booking.com: they were effectively unreachable by telephone, the phone was picked up by a bot that introduced itself as 'artificial intelligence', but that on the contrary behaved in an extremely non-intelligent way. It keeped asking for a twelve digit reservation number (I was given only a ten digit number) and a six digit PIN (in reality it was a four digit PIN). It would not listen to anything else until these non-existent numbers were entered. So the only thing this bot did was keeping customers away from the customer service.

The room was a bit too small, it lacked space for a good chair.

De ontbijtruimte was heel warm, heel ongezellig met TL verlichting in een kelder.
Ontbijt zelf was heerlijk, maar in de buurt zijn veel leukere adresjes om te ontbijten

Firstly, the room is much more smaller than in the picture. The 12m2 includes the entrance and the bathroom, so for the room itself, there is absolutely no place to put your more than 1 cabin luggage. You cannot walk from one side of the bed to the other, so I suggest you share this room with a person of your choice wisely.
But the worst part is the air conditionner. There was a heat wave in London, we stayed for 3 nights and couldn't sleep at all on these 3 nights. The room temperature was easily above 28°C at night, no air at all, and despite the staff trying to "fix" the air con, it was simply not dimensioned to handle multiple clients using air con. the aircon in the common areas of the hotel was fine, though. we couldn't neither open the window as the window was facing all the external air conditioner units of the hotel.
The staff gave us a fan, but this is not what is expected when you pay 560€ for 3 nights. They didn't try to offer us any compensation or change the room, absolutely no gesture other than being sorry.
