Great stay.
Pros:

Beautiful location, quiet hotel with very friendly and professional staff looking after the hotel. The room was very clean, had everything I needed and my room had a new bathroom. My room also had a gorgeous view of fields with horses in. Food and drinks were also available, which were good, although a bit limited.
Room lacked a mini fridge, but if only staying a couple of days this won’t be missed. Also the usual tea & coffee selection and biscuits in the room, kettle, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.

Cons:

Location, large room with a beautiful view.
Really nice professional and courteous staff.

Excellent building and location, management needs fine-tuning.
Pros:

The room and furniture acceptable. Bed comfortable and a very good shower. Good on-site car parking.

Cons:

Restaurant was closed and alternative menu was poor. Lift not working. Broken glass on wardrobe doors held together with tape. Limited staff availability.

Pros:

Location was amazing with beautiful views

Cons:

No fault of the staff the hotel was newly taken over and needs a lot of updating and work doing. Kettle was rusty which I didn't check and was really sick after my tea and the basic facilities were not available due to updating

Ok if desperate
Pros:

Location and historical photos and structures around the reception. The reception has had a revamp so it looks quite nice.

Cons:

The rooms are in need of a refit, they look very tired. Beds are lumpy and sagging in the middle. The power button on the TV remote was broken so had to be controlled on the TV itself. The Aircon light was flashing so bright it woke us up, as did the broken drain pipe above that had rain water hammering to the ground below the window.

Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Lack of options plus was barely warm.

There was a very large event on in the marquee, 9pm - 3am according to the flyer, that we were not informed about. We had to change rooms to move away from it.
