Days Inn by Wyndham Brantford

Just about everything from the moment I arrived. And I am not a hard person to please!

The staff started checking in people who arrived well after I did citing multiple reasons - they have been coming here for years, they came at lunch to check-in and I'm just giving them their room keys, they prepaid for 6 weeks...none of which should be a good reason to allow them access to their rooms before the 15 other people waiting.

Then there was my near "header" down the stairs when I tripped over a very loose strip of edging.

The room was clean however the common areas were filthy. The doors to the hallways don't look like they have been wiped down in years.

And let's not forget the advertised "hot" breakfast. Literally the only hot thing other than coffee/tea was pancakes. Not because they were out of food from lots of guests eating it but because that's all they serve!

I was supposed to stay 2 nights...I checked out after 1. And I will never stay here again.

The room had an awful smell to it, upon further inspecting I found mildew over the legs of the desk and chair. The bathroom tub did not look clean, I would not have felt comfortable taking a shower.
The front desk receptionist was not friendly and welcoming at all. We stayed on a Saturday night over the long weknd. There was no bottled water in our room and when we went to the front desk to ask for some we were told they're sold out and they had no access to the kitchen to get water, and we can drink the water from bathroom tab. The overall stay was very disappointing. We didn't get that feeling of comfort and relaxation that we expected.

Breakfast needs variety, wasn’t like other Days Inn we’ve stayed at.

Taking my money before clearly informing that a deposit was required. Airbnb's don't require deposits.

Barely any breakfast options. Our room had someone else's hair in the bathroom and a spilled drink on and under the desk which had gone sticky. Overall this Days Inn looks really run down compared to others we've stayed in

bathroom could use some new paint and floor boards, other than that rest of the bathroom was ok. breakfast was not that great. I found staying at other places had a lot more variety for breakfast.

They have not given us back our 200 deposit

There is no place to be outside the rooms, like a hall or living room. The dining room is closed at 10am. No environmentally friendly, as everything used for the breakfast is non recyclable or a single use (plates, cups, etc), so there is a large amount of garbage every day.

Hard to climb stairs with bags (no elevator) but front desk staff jumped to help.

I’m diabetic and most of the breakfast was carbs
