The motel is cute. The lounge looked like a lot of fun.
Rooms - broken bathroom barn door wouldn’t lock nor stay closed. Main light was burnt out which made the room dark. Outlets didn’t work. Room door needed to be slammed to shut. Staff was rude and acted as if they didn’t want to be there.
Great place to stay. Good amenities, staff excellent. A little bonus was the free coffee and doughnuts in the morning before leaving.
They were all out if complimentary donuts. Coffee was great! Loved our room with a balcony. Staff was very pleasant. I just wished we booked it for a linger stay.
No donuts. Bedroom mirror seemed like a two way mirror.
Room too dark
Everything was perfect
Overall this place was fine for a motel but that wasn't what we thought we were booking. Expedia made it seem like this was a deluxe room basically in solvang and while I saw the address was in Buelton this place was just mediocre motel 6 w a paint job. There is no choice for staying on the first floor and we had disabled people w us and no elevator. There was very little space in the rooms or privacy. overall I wouldn't stay here again.
It’s a charming gem in a central location. Very family friendly.
Close to camp ground
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice outdoor patio. The Staff was great!
The Sideways Inn, called the Windmill Inn in the movie Sideways (2004) has had a complete renovation and is very nice. The rooms are immaculate, nice balconies/patios overlooking the pool and of course the famous windmill. The lobby had local wines, beer, drinks, souvenirs. Coffee and donuts served in the morning. Excellent value. I will return.
Also great place for a birthday party or special event.
There is a pool, spa, fitness center and lounge.
It is right off the highway with easy access to wineries, restaurants (including the infamous Hitching Post - also in the movie) and the delightful Ostrichland.
Plan your trip today! You won't be sorry.
Room was wonderful, property had a lot to offer, and it was close to everything we wanted to do. You do need a car to get around but you'd need that no matter where you stay here.
Check in was very smooth and staff was very attentive.
There are no elevators so if you have heavy bags or a lot to carry I would suggest a first floor room.
