This was a great one night stay before heading to other destinations in Scottsdale. In fact we could have easily spent 2 nights here. It was close to the airport and there was a free shuttle to the hotel. The hotel had a nice courtyard, a lovely pool, and was located near many restaurants and bars. Great location to do things in Tempe. Be aware, there is currently a lot of roadwork happening near the hotel.
Also, this is near the Desert Botanical Gardens, which I highly recommend.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel with beautiful palm trees out front! Friendly staff, professional, and very accommodating! The room was comfortable and really nice, we will definitely stay here the next time we have a really early flight to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport!
The hotel is located in a very good location and many local restaurants can be find near the hotel. The service was excellent and very low noise level.
Stayed here for one night recently. We frequently stay at Hyatt's and Hyatt was kind enough to give us a free one night stay so we decided to do a staycation. The timing was good because Arizona St. was out of school and it was a weekday night so the hotel was quiet. Stayed in 4044. Nice, comfortable room, great courtyard and a very friendly, helpful made it a memorable stay. Easy walking distance to Mill Ave full of eateries and shops. The only drawback was all the roadwork happening on Mill made walking around a little difficult but we managed. We had dinner at Harry P's, an eatery attached to the hotel (Separate review) Overall nice stay. We would recommend to anyone visiting Tempe.
The best place to stay in Tempe! I will
always chose to stay there as they exceed expectations. Attentive and have recognized me over the years (13). Never fail to deliver a great experience.
My husband and I went for a romantic staycation because we had heard good things about this hotel and for the most part they were true. The hotel is older, but in good shape and very clean. The ambiance and garden view room were terrific. The restaurant was great and the front desk staff was efficient and helpful. Our only complaint was with the valet service. We were not greeted or directed where to park or to wait. We tried to get out of the way and the valet who was moving a car honked at us and was very rude when we inquired where to wait. The next morning our car was returned to us covered in bird poop and tree sap and leaves.
The pool man was fantastic
Property was very clean and safe. Location was perfect for the Tempe event I was attending (Pats run). Room service was way better than I expected and the food was first class and very delicious.
Honestly there was nothing negative about the property
Overall the hotel was nice. It was a relaxing enjoyable one night staycation. Walking diastance to restaurants and entertainment.
The breakfast was delicious, specially as a Globalist perk. The buffet has everything but the Egg Benedicts. So if that’s not what you want to eat then stick with breakfast and get a made to order omelette and the other things.
What soured the overall stay was the mold that we found a few hours before checkout. As we were walking out of our room to take a walk after breakfast my wife looked up and saw mold in the vent. It was bad. My teenager slept in the direct air and hanged out there for 24 hours.
Tod the Manager gave me some compensation but honestly we are still uneasy and hopefully the risks are low.
I would stay here again but I’ll make sure to o check the vents next time.
Wonderful experience from start to finish.
I arrived well after midnight, and the entire check-in process was seamless. Before even boarding my flight to Phoenix, I had already received a digital room key and arranged a late check-out for the following day. After a long day of travel, it was a relief to head straight to my room without needing to stop at the front desk—especially since the digital key worked perfectly, which isn’t always the case.
Pros:
* Spacious, clean rooms
* Friendly, professional, and well-trained staff
* Modern, elegant, and well-maintained property and grounds
* Located in a lively area, yet quiet and peaceful inside
* Complimentary water bottles are generously sized
* Comfortable beds and pillows
Cons:
* Rooms may feel slightly dated, but they are still well-kept and far from worn or run-down
Overall, a smooth, comfortable, and highly pleasant stay. I would gladly return.
The resort campus is lovely, the food is great, the staff is phenomenal and all provide unreasonable hospitality that will have our group coming back from years to come.
Our multi day stay was perfect from arrival all the way to departure. Meals and drinks on property were all so satisfying. Room service arrived hot, yea hot, and timely. Every crew member we encountered was so friendly, helpful and engaging. We traveled with a younger child and didn’t feel out of place nor un-welcome, although, the property offered a mature comfortable feel, simultaneously. The pool was perfect sized and well enjoyed by our entire family. We were able to enjoy a nice lunch with drinks in the complimentary cabana while our child enjoyed the pool.
Beautiful property and staff
It was a little loud outside, expected though with buys weekend
Very comfortable stay. Clean beds and bathrooms. A bit noisy due to the bar across the street though. Decor is simple. Location to everything was very good. Service was very good as well.
This is a fabulous property! We arrived early, and the front desk staff took down my phone number and promptly texted us at the pool when the room was ready. The Globalist breakfast is top-notch-- either the buffet or off the menu. Served in the courtyard. My kids loved the pool, and I loved the shade provided the palapa. We had a little issue with a room charge, and the manager took care of it quickly.
Wonderful location right in the heart of downtown. Walkable to many restaurants and shops and ASU.
Rooms are small and there are many of them so expect a walk from the lobby and the elevators.
Staff was ok. No acknowledgement of our special occasion regardless of our status. No concern when we had problems with our room late one evening. A free drink or some bonus points was too much to expect.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms were clean. Beautiful court yard and pool. Fitness room was very nice. Food was great. I felt safe and secure.
Facility is good. Prices are high @ $350/nt in Tenpe. TV remote was broken and staff did not address this when contacted. Pretty easy fix to fail at. Good location for night life on Mills Avenue, close to good restaurants.
