Pros:

Very attentive staff and excellent restaurant. Not too pricey.

Cons:

This was a cold hotel
Perhaps the air conditioning had Ben kept on as the weather was turning. It made it uncomfortable at a high price .

A great hotel stay
Pros:

Location for the Edinburgh Tattoo, easy (uphill) walk to the Castle. Our room was very clean and had a few nice touches like the Welcome card and soft drinks. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. Parking at nearby NCP was OK value at £20 discount for 24 hours parking.

Cons:

Drop off area outside hotel was taken up by builders trucks so it was lucky there were no traffic wardens around when we arrived to take our luggage in.
