In need of renovations and new management

Only its location. I was able to go yo my child’s graduation on the USF campus.

Cons:

The hotel is dated and run down and it smells like mildew.

In my room the pillows on the bed were terrible. I had six pillows. They were undersized and they are thinly stuffed and too soft to failed to offer proper head and neck support.

I was awoken at 8 am by house keeping to clean the room but I used the inner door latch so they could gain entry. This was poor service when check out time was 11:00 am. The staff wasn’t helpful at all. When I check in they didn’t notify of events in the hotel like happy hour or when breakfast was being served on my ticket for breakfast. I also paid for breakfast at the hotel that is served till 10. I made it downstairs at 10:05 and they told me I couldn’t get breakfast. When the breakfast buffet was still active and several people were eating and in line at the buffet. They also charge a $10 a day parking fee but they don’t provide notice online.

Suffice to say this was a disaster of a stay and the customer service is nonexistent.

My husband and I traveled to Tampa to visit our son in the VA hospital. Anna at the front desk was AMAZING! We had a problem with our booking hrough Booking.com, Anna was exceptional in assisting me with a solution.

We had a fantastic stay at the Embassy Suites Tampa! From start to finish, the experience was wonderful, largely thanks to the incredible staff. Every team member we encountered was welcoming, but a special shoutout goes to the kitchen staff during breakfast—they were about as friendly as they come and made starting the morning a absolute pleasure. Speaking of breakfast, it was completely delicious!
​The amenities really set this hotel apart:
​Pool Area: Beautiful, well-kept, and a great place to relax.
​Evening Reception: The complimentary drinks at 6:00 PM and the delicious tapas-style spread were amazing! The food was so good it easily held us over until dinner.
​Overall, it was a smooth, high-quality, and super welcoming experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tampa area!

Cons:

We had a couple of minor hiccups during our stay, but the staff handled them brilliantly. Our toilet overflowed at one point, but after reporting it, the team had it completely fixed within minutes—fantastic service! The only real downside was the hot water temperature, which wasn't quite as hot as what we’re used to back home in Australia. Overall, though, the quick customer service made up for it!
