Lovely old building. We had a 16th century wall painting in our room!
Everything - Staff - Food - Service - all aspects of room location
We had Room 8 and shower was poor -- unable to adjust - not suitable for child use in present condition
Staff was very pleasant. The room was clean. Air conditioning was wonderful.
Well located clean modern attractive rooms
The location and the staff were wonderful & the breakfasts were very good, although there was a miscommunication regarding breakfast time on the Saturday. It was supposed to be 10:30, we got there for 10:00 and were told the breakfast had finished due to them having a wedding that day. They had cleared out the breakfast room of all tables & chairs and were bringing in wedding seating. The staff were supposed to have told all guests the night before about the timings. Anyway it was soon rectified and they managed to serve us a lovely breakfast in the restaurant after speaking to chef. The girl who arranged this for us was fantastic…very attentive & couldn’t apologise enough…thank you!
I wouldn’t say the rooms were anything like we have stayed in before that was 4 star. Very basic & dated/worn. I know it’s an extremely old property and that brings the charm but the tv, kettle, iron etc were very old and made it feel a bit neglected. Just an honest review. I was told we’d been upgraded to a deluxe room…there was nothing deluxe about this room in my opinion.
Olde worlde feel. Pleasant staff .Quiet. Nicely situated in the charming old town. Good food, well presented.
Early morning noise. Staff pushing wheelie bins on cobbled pathwsy
The Air con, variety of breakfast choice, comfortable bed, massive shower ample carparking, location...what isn't there to like.
Blind didn't really block out much light, so summer mornings youre up early.
Really lovely room, felt luxurious and clean.
I would only change the breakfast to make the full English fresh for each person.
Bathroom was very roomy and the main hotel was full of history
Nothing
Nice cosy rooms, very good breakfast, and a comfortable bed
