The location is great. The indoor pool and spa is nice and clean.
Room Breakfast
Temperature control did not work and restrictors on windows only allow a little bit of fresh air in
The spa is very relaxing
Bar food and drink was expensive
I loved the SPA facillities...it was open until late which gave me the oppotunty to chill. Outside area was open for evening chill sunshine, which was a bonus.
The resturant was not very forgiving for allergies. I got given a list which excluded allergies, not mine, but, for the price of the food, I would expect the chef to produce fresh food.without such allergies. I ended up with a pepporoni pizza without much pepporoni. Should of got a takeaway for the price!
Disappointed to say the least.
I’ve stayed before and had a better stay. Location was key for me.
The member of staff that checked me in was polite kind, professional and helpful. As there was no parking available, she helped me with my case and work bags.
The space in the room was nice. I enjoyed the pool.
I took nearly an hour to get into my room, due to parking etc. the staff member was really sweet and helpful though.
I was tired. Had a zoom meeting so time was important here.
The next morning I asked for a little bit more time to check out. The male staff member was abrupt and made me feel guilty for asking because an “important group checking in later”. He did give me 30 mins though. After telling me no later than 30 minutes. Like anything in life there are some people that take advantage. I’m not one of them!
My room was tatty. I didn’t say anything as I was grateful to rest. Parking wasn’t easy, Due to a group. I mention this because I was treated as if I wasn’t important. Only groups were!
Each guest is valuable.
Had I not been ‘tutted’ and frowned at I’d let this go. However it’s not the first time I’ve stayed here.
When I pulled the short quilted bedspread from the bed to climb in, it was full of stains that has been on it a while. Quite disgusting. To make the bed you would notice this.
So finally I’ve said something. I often let small things go. But I’m tired of being treated as if I’m not important.
I didn’t say anything about the bedspread on check in because I was exhausted having driven 2.5 hours to get there. And noticed when I went to bed.
I didn’t need the bedspread to sleep.
And to be fair The bedding and quilt was clean.
I did advise a staff member on check out. She apologized.
What the hotel can learn from this as a customer based hotel:- each customer is important. Treat them that way. Whilst no expectation- know offering a 30 min or 1 hour can make a huge difference to someone’s stay (without the guilt trip) especially if they are a returning client.
You do not know what each client is managing!!!
The best service I got was upon check in.
She didn’t rush me, she exceeded expectations. Perhaps others can learn from her. I’ve taken photos of the white stuff on the bedding. It’s not necessary to post in here.
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating especially when I asked if we could ,ove to a room with a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath.
Breakfast was served from 7 until 10 and we arrived for breakfast at 09.55.
Breakfast buffet was a tad greasy and not very hot.
I know we arrive 5 minutes before closing but I expected better than some fried eggs laying a fat.
Check in was simple and we were greeted by a friendly and helpful member of staff.
We were fortunate to be allocated a totally refurbished room and although it was a little walk from the main reception it was definitely worth it. The room was large and clean and modern and the bed was huge and comfortable.
The fizzy/still water taps in the hallway are great as it means you can always get fresh cold water as and when you want it, rather than a cheap bottle left in the room. Our bedroom had a bath and large shower complete with toiletries. Breakfast was great and again greeted by friendly staff and lots to choose from and able to serve yourself so not rushed.
Nothing - very happy with our stay.
I had a lovely relaxing stay. Used it as a base to visit Windsor for the weekend. I felt it good value for money. The staff were all genuine and friendly.
The location
The deluxe room we booked, should not be called so. Decor poor, stained bed, cold water and no pressure in the shower!
Only one drink per person, no biscuits, no robes. Very very basic.
Proximity to Ascot . Lovely pool
Food was very average
The spa was nice and clean and lots to do
The staff wasn't that friendly
I liked it all
Nothing
A lovely welcoming place would definitely stay again but for longer next time
Very friendly staff. Very clean. Excellent food. Spa area was great. Very good breakfast
Nothing
Location
No fridge had to store in communal kitchen fridge
Windows not shutting disabling AC
No water in room
No hot water in the evening
Toilet seat wobbly and coming away from the base
Socket switches not near bed
Lights poor
Staff incredibly rude at reception. Need customer service training or st least to acknowledge the customers dissatisfaction with a professional response.
