Important information:

The credit/debit card used to book a pre-paid rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.

There are restricted times for use of the pool by children under 16 years of age.

Kids splash times are between 9am until 10am & 4pm until 6pm.

Booking for Linden Restaurant is recommended before arrival, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details provided in your confirmation.

All infants aged 2 years and younger stay free of charge in a cot/crib. Please note the maximum number of children's cots/cribs in a room is 1.

Guests are advised to book dinner in advance. Booking tables for breakfast and afternoon tea can be booked by the reception team upon check in.

Please note that the hotel doesn't accept any cash payments.

When booking 7 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply.

Dinner allowance is £25 per person towards food only per night.

The spa is closed on from 31/03/2025 to 01/04/2025 for refurbishment work.

Pros:

Very friendly staff

Cons:

No complimentary water in room, no phone to contact reception only aQR code or telephone number.the property was clean but looked neglected and it seemed that a bit of cost cutting was in force. Food expensive

Idyllic location, in a quiet neighborhood, a taste of British history through the old mansion.
Pros:

Everything went well, only comment that the low fat yoghurt was all out on the second morning.

Cons:

Bed and pillow were very hard, wasn't able to sleep properly for two nights.

Southern tour stopover
Pros:

Great old building, nice gym, pool and spa.
Comfy beds and convenient location

Cons:

Air con didn't work and the TV was a terrible old piece of junk - I didn't come to sit and watch TV but a bit of bbc news in a morning and a remote control that turned it off would have been nice.

Historic building
Pros:

Nice hotel with some greenery and history. Bed could be more comfortable. At night fire alarm went off probably due to a wedding. Bathroom newly renovated. Some noise at night from the hallway doors . No bathrobe provided for the pool, steam area

Comfortable quiet rooms and friendly staff.
Pros:

A nice vegan breakfast. Friendly restaurant manageress. Comfy beds. Quiet location - could hear the motorway in the distance, but not enough to interrupt a nights sleep with the windows open.

Cons:

Decor and interiors of rooms abit dated and could do with a redecoration.
Sad that children are only allowed in the pool for an hour in the morning and two in the afternoon? When we had a look at the pool, adults were lying by the pool side and there was only one person swimming. Would be more family friendly if children's pool hours were for longer.

Location was nice and the outdoor area in the sun was great.

Cons:

Not enough staff on reception, over 10 mins waiting to check in, a que of 8 people all waiting. Room was overpriced for the facilities and seemed to be very run down.

The building was beautiful, so was the pool. Gym good. Bed comfortable room nice.

Cons:

Small steam and changing rooms. Tea coffee etc in room poor and not very generous. Breakfast They didn't tell us we could order from a menu other choices.
