Pool was a great extra with the kids and they ate for free which kept Costs down.
The room was a little cold as the temperature was controlled, it had rained in the day and we arrived with wet clothes and kids trainers with no was other that a hairdryer to get them dry.

Good location for what we were there for. Only a few minutes from park and ride.
Hotel itself. Room was clean enough, however tired looking. Hotel looks like it need a refurbishment throughout. Breakfast was very nice. However this is the first Hotel we have visited with our dog and not been able to sit in the dining room. While I understand health and hygiene where dogs are concerned im sure we could of had a section by the lifts away from the food. Instead we were put out in the corridor where I felt a bit on display. Didn't feel very dog friendly at that point.
Apart from that a pleasant stay. And breakfast was very nice

The staff are exceptional. The lady at check in deserves special mention.......thorough and very customer focused.
This is a quirky hotel in terms of layout.
There is a huge estate of Bank HQs nearby.It is in a parkland setting and affords a pleasant walk.
High volume of traffic noise from nearby,busy dual carriageway.
Although, this gives easy routes for onward travel.
Staff , except duty manager
Not allowed to use resturant for dinner as reserved for a coach tour , despite the fact they did not take up the whole area. Was told to use the bar area , which to us was totally unacceptable.. several guests turned away. After discussion with obstinate duty manager
A table was found. When coach party came there was loads of room that could have accomadated other guests.
Breakfast was contaminated one morning with what we think was some sort of black matetials shreds. Photos available. We should have reported to food hygiene authority.
Building somewhat tired. Would not stay there again.

Dinner at the cafe can be a long wait, I suggest eat out instead or order take away as others have done.

We had to have our evening meal in the bar, and there were only really bar tables and stools which are uncomfortable for the older generation. The food was good.
