Excellent Location just needs some tlc
Pros:

Location is fantastic set on the river and close to town, Park and Lock. Seating area outside very nice and reception area, Seating area and Riverside restaurant lovely decorated. Large Free Car Parking.

Cons:

Stayed in a Deluxe Double, Expected more from this room for the cost. View of Bridge and front patio area. Wine stained on carpet, Blind in bathroom marked, would of preferred pumps of soap etc as opposed to bar and little bottles, not enough toilet roll. Room 17 needs some tlc..

Nice venue - staff need to be trained or systems changed!
Cons:

My wife was promised an extension to her stay and then told room not available - she was ignored by staff and then after a long wait treated poorly.

Crowded. Room not ready for check in at correct time. Poor customer care whilst being compelled to wait for room to be ready.

Relaxing charming stay on the River.
Pros:

Perfect location at the River , charming garden bar and relaxing atmosphere , Breakfast room with view over the River, AirCon in the rooms very effective, attentive staff , great stay. Bonus own big car park.

Will probably stay again but only because of location
Pros:

Location is perfect just a 3 min walk into town and view of the river from the room

Cons:

No lift and place is getting very tired needs a revamp. Also very expensive

Really gone downhill
Pros:

We often used to stay here about 10 years ago on the way down to visiting my mother in Wiltshire and always loved it, but after she passed had no reason to stop until recently when we were passing through to go to royal ascot so decided to pop in for lunch. What a disappointment. Whilst the staff were friendly, the whole place had a really shabby feel to it and looked badly in need of an upgrade. I went to the ladies and there was a sign in each of the toilets along the lines of to make sure that you leave the toilet respectable for other customers. Never seen that anywhere else. Also another bugbear of mine was that the hook for hanging your bag on in the toilet had gone and hadn’t been replaced. How long does it take to replace a hook and how inexpensive is it? Food was okay, but service was incredibly slow. A huge disappointment and we wont be rushing back.
