Easy location for walking around the city.
Thought it was not clean enough - common parts ok but WC area not clean enough. The windows in the room were dirty with spiders and cobwebs along window cills. Surfaces felt very sticky.
The lift was broken but they don’t have porters.
Bathroom was not clean nor very functional.
Breakfast staff touched food with his hands and left it on the board!
General grubiness of carpet in public area and dusty .
Nowhere secure for guests to leave luggage once checked out while waiting for transport.
Staff generally not trained nor understanding what should have been done.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel when compared with other 4star hotels.

The room was a bit cramped (appreciate it’s an older property).
It was in a perfect location to be able to walk everywhere. Breakfast selection was great. A lovely cleaner on my floor took my main bag down one level on the morning I was leaving.
I didn’t like that the lift only went to level 2 and my room was on level 3! I didn’t feel safe on the entry steps when it was raining.

The location is very good for visiting the centre of Oxford
There is no lift and there was no offer to help us take our luggage to our room on the second floor. There was no air conditioning and the windows only opened a crack. The room was extremely hot and the fan provided only pushed hot air around. There was human excrement in the toilet bowl when we arrived. The shower tray was broken, the shower hose was broken, the bathroom door was held together by two pieces of wood and some nails and the door handle was covered with kitchen foil. The soap dispensers in the shower and on the sink were almost empty when we arrived. I called to ask about parking at the hotel two hours before I arrived and was told I would be able to park. When I arrived, having paid the congestion charge to get to the hotel, I was told I could not park. Having to move my car made me late for my meeting. The staff did not care about that.
