The Staff was great! Great customer service for sure.
My room had ants in the trash can, on the desk and in my bed and I had to be switched to another room and they accommodated me without question. So again, customer service, great!! Just cleanliness to the rooms wasn't so great. There was hair all in the bathroom sink and shower as well. It just wasn't as clean as you'd hope for a hotel room.
The bed was clean
Room smelled like mildew. The refrigerator did not work. Shower door would not stay closed. Breakfast was not good. Outside keyed entrance does not work. We were told this by staff as we tried several times to use the key. They told us it hadn't worked in a while but there was no sign stating that it didn't work. The hotel smells and the elevator makes suspicious noises. Overall we were very disappointed and especially since it is a Marriott Bonvoy hotel
On Marriott's web site, there is a View Details button, Clicking it, brings up a popup that shows the hotel as well as a Beautiful Swimming pool. Upon arriving I asked about pool, I was informed it is closed for maintenance, I took pictures, It is missing tiles, very dirty and looks not to have been open for a long time. I was promised some points for inconvenience. Next, I went to my room, opened refrigerator and there is a container of food inside. So even though I had driven over 6 hours and was tired, I gathered my things and went back to front desk. Next morning Manager was there and told me all mention of a pool was taken down. Today, the pool picture is still on that popup. On the check in counter is a sign say Marriott Elite. Well, Due to injury I have not been traveling, but if this is the new Elite. I recommend looking for a different chain of hotels.
Our stay was during an underwhelming Prep Hoops tournament. Reasonable location and reasonable price. The bathroom set is logistically accommodating with standard ceilings that allow reasonable ventilation. We stayed here to be as close as possible to the Memphis Events Center in Liberty Park with the most economical price. I'd stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Don't eat the free breakfast.
Not too big
Not enough parking
Avoid this hotel. The location is not pleasant to say the least. Neighborhood is so bad the hotel has a fence and gate to enter the parking lot at night. The shower surround in my room was cracked and patched with caulk. The river at the edge of the parking lot looks like a landfill. The worst is next to the patio there are exposed electrical wires.
DID NOT HAVE BREAKFAST, WASN'T READY AT 6:30 AS STATED.
ROOM WAS OK
This hotel is a level below all other Fairfield Inns I’ve stayed in. The physical facility is subpar, e.g., shower doors that don’t stay closed, and tile that has come loose from the wall. There are hardly any plugs in the room—NO bedside outlets, and none at the desk.
The furniture is a step down from Fairfield standards. The beside tables were mismatched and shabby.
The front desk clerk was friendly and made check in easy.
This has to be one of the worst hotels ever. The first room they brought us too was not cleaned and still had the previous persons soap in bathroom. The next room they gave us had a whole in the floor covered by the carpet. The base boards of the bathroom covered in mold.
Staff was great, very friendly- breakfast was good, coffee was good, room was clean - needs some paint & general updates, but was overall a good nights stay. After reading the reviews, we were hesitant, but we had no issues!
Security, friendly staff, and breakfast
The area isn’t the best in Memphis but the hotel had a gate at the entrance which was good for security.
