Treated like royalty
Pros:

Every employee I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I wanted. The chef came to our table and asked if everything was good. The breakfast is amazing and always fresh. The food at the Upper Deck was wonderful. We ate on property because it was so good and the employees are so wonderful. The beach is clean and not crowded. Highly recommend for location, facilities and the attention to detail from the staff.

Wonderful stay I will return however I will request a higher up room that not on the first floor.

Location and breakfast was wonderful.

Cons:

Being on the first floor. Location of the room balcony view is block and not the best for short children. Also looking at the roof was not a good view based on what I thought I was paying for.

Will book again.
Pros:

Very middle class resort feel, loved all the food and onsite things to do, the 2 pools and hot tub. The outdoor space is done beautifully. Quick access to the beach with 3 showers to wash off after.

Cons:

Wasn't told about the $200 deposit up front. I was just coldly directed to enter my card- explanation was offered after the fact. Traffic due to ongoing major construction

Predatory charging practices
Pros:

As an international traveler that use to work for Marriott I must sadly say this hotel is not living up to the basic standards and has instead decided to engage in predatory billing practices. We had come to this location for the national dance competition as a family trip. While i totally understand having that many kids in one location can be stressful on any venue there are things that happened that should not have ever happen. Corporate should look into the management as their actions and oversight will directly hurt this location. While we appreciate the smoke free environment and the measures that they take to ensure that for guest they are not maintaining the system correctly. We personally witness not only ourselves but every family being charged a smoking fee of $400 in there rooms. While these meters are new to the industry and require monthly calibration and constant oversight. This is not being done. Fair warning to any future travelers. These new meters can be triggered by something as simple as hair dryers and shower steam over 30 day period and make them trigger for every guest if not cleaned and maintain correctly. When presented with the charge we offers to go to the room with the manager to evaluate the meter and confirm their was no smoking. Instead of handling this manner in a professional manner which was all we asked he instead proceeded to inform me that is was my 12 year old daughter and she is probably lying to me. We could take it up with our credit card company. While a one off is totally understandable we personally witnessed the same exact interaction to almost every parent with the same responses from management. This predatory pattern witnessed makes me question integrity of this location. What steps are they taking to ensure housekeeping is not vaping in our rooms. Did they clean the meters after our stay or leave it go off again for the next guest. Are they just targeting groups for easy fees. Did they actually clean the rooms after the made up charges or just throw another unknowing family in there and hit them with the charges as well.
Also we attempted to eat at this location and were basically ignored for 45 minutes trying to get a simple Non alcoholic drinks. Of the families from the event that did manage to get food everyone ended up sick. Please be cautious of traveling to this location and the please keep an your credit cards. Marriott please look into this location as things happening that are not right.

Pros:

For the reason of our stay it was a great location

Cons:

It took forever for simple requests such as more towels or hand soap to be fulfilled.
There was watered down soap, no hair dryer and housekeeping never cleaned the room once.
The place is also not up to expectations for what was paid and for being a Marriott. It was a major disappointment.
