Worth staying for restaurant!
Pros:

Location was excellent. Beautiful skylight. Restaurant is world class.

Cons:

The ceiling in the room first assigned to us was peeling. We were reassigned to another room. The bathtub was old and fixtures were stained with rust. But room was fine.

Kindest staff in town! Great rooms and great value.
Pros:

We decided to move over from another hotel chain and give the DoubleTree a shot. Great property, nice, quiet, clean, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Good location in town and really great people across the property. Front desk staff was awesome and helpful...huge shout out to Dee Wilson, who is the king of being kind and getting to know folks…super good guy so make sure you say hi to him at the front desk…he also likes a good plate of BBQ if you want to treat him. We had a few very minor things like a slow draining sink and AC not running super cold. We shared that feedback with the staff so they could address for next guests. Overall, we had a great stay and this will likely be our new choice when visiting Lubbock.

Move In Weekend in Lubbock
Pros:

From the moment we arrived , the hospitality was phenomenal. The front desk team was very welcoming and efficient, especially Dee. Every staff member we encountered-from housekeeping to the Clarayboya Restaurant staff! If you’re ever in Lubbock this is the place to be hands down!

Just OK
Pros:

A fair stay in Lubbock, not the worst option but definitely not the best.
Customer service is lacking a bit both in hotel and restaurant. Employees we encountered were friendly just not really customer focused, they all just seem to be collecting paychecks.
Hotel was super slow when we were there mid week and they still stuck us in a room overlooking the lobby bar, so noise was an issue and our window “view” was the AC condenser.
Beds were comfortable, room was spacious and had great drawer storage. Bathroom and closet doors slam shut on you, careful of that. Bathroom was a bit dingy with rust in tub and old/dirty shower curtain.
Location is convenient for campus, across the street both directions is a little concerning, but nothing terrible. I wouldn’t leave anything in your car in this parking lot. I’ll leave this hotel as a last resort when we’re in the area. Was hoping for a great LBK option, but it fell short.

Very nice hotel but don't expect the Peloton to work.
Pros:

Very nice hotel with a large room. Dinner was good but a bit on the expensive side. But yet another Hilton property with a Peloton that is not functional, happens way too often. Checked in at 4 and checked the gym and the Peloton is not activated so not usable. Asked the front desk about getting it activated and as usual they said they would let engineering know. Four hours later and it is still not activated and I have no expectation it will work tomorrow morning so I can use before I leave.

Good stay but the homeless people around adjacent properties should warrant a night time security presence.
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room. Front desk clerk was cheerful and willing to help.

Cons:

Considering the location, it might be helpful to have evening property security.

Staff was great, very friendly and helpful.
Pros:

Beautiful furnishings

Cons:

Restroom had an odor to it and floor was sticky. I wish the rate had included breakfast. We had to drive in heavy rain to find a nice breakfast spot.

Nice, but could use a little TLC.
Pros:

I was in Lubbock for a wedding over the weekend of April 10-12. Having a DoubleTree in Lubbock was exciting to see when I booked. The previous hotel in this location was a Four Points Sheraton and was familiar on my arrival. Front desk staff were fantastic. Quick, seamless check in. On arrival to my room I realized that the power outlets in the room were not working. I use a medical device and I wasn’t going to be able to use the room. Front seat staff again, amazing. I had a new room in about 15 minutes. The hotel was clean, well kept, and the on site car and restaurant were excellent.

My only “room for improvement” item is beds. The beds are miserably hard. I did not have quality rest during my stay. A softer bed would’ve been hallmark for my rest and my back.

Otherwise. No complaints.
