Great location, super clean and spacious. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and especially enjoyed the breakfast each day. The food was fantastic and accommodations were great. We spent a week in Sao Miguel and decided to split our time between a city-based hotel and one with a pool and beach. Aqua Populo Village is a nice but far from perfect choice. It's closer to an Air B&B than a hotel. There is daily housekeeping, a daily breakfast basket delivered to your room, and the staff will even do your laundry, which is very nice. But I think the other reviewers here are more accustomed to a self-serivce apartment than a full-serivce hotel.

Staying here keeps you in the official city limits of PD but has absolutely nothing within walking distance, and getting a taxi or rideshare to anything in town or elsewhere on the island, including to the airport, is challenging. If you are renting a car for your stay, that's not an issue, but if you're not driving yourself, getting anywhere from here is not easy. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

Sunset beach is close by but not actually at the property and has no chairs or umbrellas available for use or rent. The rooftop pool area is nice but small (4 lounge chairs). It overlooks a busy road and isn't quiet, and there is no food or drink service available. I appreciate that the staff set up umbrellas for us.

We stayed in the Atlantic Deluxe Villa, which has plenty of space (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft that could sleep more people, and a full kitchen). The outdoor patio is tiny and does not have any seating. The on-site gym is large and always empty, but the equipment there is old, and it's not air-conditioned.

The staff here are great and easy to communicate with.

The property is spacious. The staff are very nice and responsive by text. We appreciated that the cleaning staff found some items we left when checking out an returned them to us - that was very nice. The breakfast is plentiful and good. They will even do your laundry for you on request, which is nice if you are travelling for a long period of time.

Customer service was excellent. Every time I reached out, the person on the other end answered and was very helpful. We stayed in the penthouse which was a good size very clean and right next to the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was great too

Unser Apartment war auf der 1. Etage. Dadurch hatten wir vom kleinen Balkon, mit zwei Stühlen und Tisch, Meerblick.
Der SPA Bereich ist nicht sehr groß aber sehr schön. Am späten Nachmittag trifft man dann alle Bewohner. Der Fitness Raum ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Im Kühlschrank sind Getränke für die es eine Getränke/Preisliste gibt. Aber man hat schonmal etwas da. Der Strand ist in 5 Min. erreichbar. Da andere Lokalitäten etwas weiter weg waren haben wir dort an unseren drei Abenden gegessen. Portionen zum Teilen geeignet, lecker und Preiswert. Die Weine waren sehr gut.
Das Auto wird auf dem verschlossenen Hof abgestellt und mit der Fernbedienung geöffnet. Von der Duchgangsstr. haben wir Nachts nichts gehört. Nett war auch Hinweise zu Aktivitäten zu bekommen. Alles hat gut geklappt.

Die Lage ist sehr schön in Gehdistanz zum Strand. Unser Zimmer mit Terrasse im Garten war sehr bequem und gut ausgestattet auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Obwohl kein typisches Hotel kümmert sich das Team auch wenn man kein Whatsapp verwendet über die Nachrichten Funktionen in Booking.com sehr schnell um jegliche Belange. Der Dachpool und das Jacuzzi sowie der Fitnessraum bieten zusätzlichen Spass.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt auf São Miguel! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders das Frühstück war hervorragend – frisch, abwechslungsreich und mit regionalen Spezialitäten. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben uns viele tolle Tipps für die Insel gegeben. Die Lage war perfekt, um São Miguel zu erkunden und gleichzeitig Ruhe zu genießen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung!
