We had a terrible stay at this hotel in August. Whilst the room itself was ok - it was clean enough and adequately sized, the shower in the room did not work sufficiently. It managed one shower before completely stopping working. There was only 1 teabag left for the stay in the room too. The lack of customer service was also terrible. On a Friday afternoon in summer at 4pm there was no bar staff and when we asked the reception staff about this, they told us they would sort & didnt. After a 15 minute wait we gave up. For a 4* hotel it wasn’t good enough.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable.. Adequate breakfast. Air conditioned downstairs.
No lift in the hotel so had to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Rooms were hot as it was a warm day. There was a fan in the room but not very powerful.

Bed side light was not working on one side of the bed. WiFi wasn’t great
Room next door with loud TV on until late - past 11.30pm.

I feel the rooms are looking a little tired and need some tlc.
Went to breakfast and there was no breakfast ready - a lot had run out - granted it was replenished but had to wait for this . Room looks tired and needs updating . Dark and gloomy and the tables didn’t look particularly clean

Would highly recommend. Great staff, Nice rooms, Good leisure facilities and grounds. Breakfast of a nice standard . Clean hotel, nice bar area. 10 minute drive into centre of Chester or park and ride option nearby.
Great base for a few days arround Chester and north east Wales. Clean comfortable room and good food.
Spacious room and bed was comfortable, variable english breakfast available. A lot of facilities available, gym swimming pool, pool table.
