Price was good, good choice on the menu
Bed was uncomfortable, food over cooked, two drinks i wanted they had ran out of, hotel not the same since new management
The beds were amazingly comfortable and facilities were outstanding. Having use of the pool meant a relaxing swim before heading to bed and a very happy little boy.

hotel was a bit dated and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and was quite disorganised with the whole situation
We have stayed in this hotel several times the spa is a lovely edition not massive but more than we could ask for as it was included in the price. There was a gentleman on the front desk on our arrival he was a new starter and was excellent at his job.
On our arrival the room wasn’t ready even tho it should have been ready by 3 and it was after 3 on our arrival. The room was eventually ready at I think 4.30 we were given 2 free drinks for our trouble. The bar man didn’t seem to understand that the drinks weren’t welcome drinks they were a courtesy as the room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t serve us a large. No problem we accepted the medium. We where going to ask for another once we had finished but the barman dissapeared I went and asked at the desk and the manager I think he was said he had sent him to do training and that he would come and serve us the barman then appeared after 10minutes.
Breakfast was great, good variety of breakfast choices including pancake machine.
It was nice to access sauna and jacuzzi free of charge.
The photos in the discription did not match the room itself. The room was very dated, uneven floor, mouldy bathroom, loose toilet seat. No coffee machine, just sachets of instant coffee.
Cold water in the shower in the Feel Good Centre, changing rooms were very basic.

Huge bed and tv
No bedside lights. Asked for a discount thcket for Chester Zoo as promoted at reception. Was charged £70 for two. Pointed out that the standard zoo price was £25 per person. After consulting the manager a £20 refund was arranged . This meant we paid the standard charge without any special discount. The next morning the promotion was still on reception . Either offer a true discount or withdraw the offer. You could be breaking the law. We didn't use breakfast as we generally only have cereal, tea , toast for which £12 was too expensive.
Staff were pleasant.
The location wasn't great. It was dirty, low water pressure, broken switch in bedroom (203), no heating and small flies everywhere.

Staff that I dealt with were lovely.
Shabby rooms , very cheeky floors , blind in room was broken , room not cleaned first day , second day cleaned but bathroom bins not emptied, towels not replenished , tea and coffee not replenished . Hall ways and communal areas unkept .
Had a meal one night my daughter's meal bought out 20 mins before everyone else's . Ordered a dessert Eton mess came as a bowl of cream with a very small amount of meringue and cut up grapes ? An Eton mess is normally strawberry , raspberry or berries not grapes .
Well placed for the park and ride into Chester and to reach Oulton Park race track by road. The cooked breakfast was excellent being fresh and plentiful. Price good for the facilities.
Floors were very creaky and toilet paper too thin and required topping up almost immediately.

Some rooms face the A55 so constant traffic noise day and night.
The large telly in the room was great especially as you could cast your apps on to it. Thought this was great as usually in hotels you get a small telly with basic channels.
Was told that we had an early check in from 10am (extra charge), arrived to be told, that there was no early check in booked .Despite being assured on the phone that it was all booked in. Had to wait 2 hours for check in! Asked if we could use the facilities whilst we were waiting was told no, cant use them until 1pm! This was due to a swimming club being held. Finally checked in just after 12 to be told that they had just closed the pool! Only reason we came to this hotel was because it had swimming facilities, reception didn't even seem to be bothered at all. Hotel room grubby throughout, in need of a good scrub and upgrade! We got this as a cheap Sunday deal, if we had been charged the £170.00 Saturday night fee we would've been extremely disappointed.
