Uncontrollable shower, very hot then ice cold

No tv remote in room asked reception for one and they brought it approximately 10.30 when we had given up and gone to bed. The window was open in our room the metal frame on the window had slipped at one side exposing the edge of the glass.
My elderly friend who came with me found it difficult to navigate the stairs to get to the lift
Shower screen no were near long enough therefore ended up with water on the floor had to use towels to mop up

The spa. Pool was ice cold, saunas are separated so couldnt go with my partner. People in rooms are disgusting. No warning of kids getting swimming lessons at a spa

Delicious breakfast, coffee bar, busy and great atmosphere. Lots of seating. To have outside space, spacious grounds, fresh air, peaceful such an asset.
If I had stayed longer/ had more time to relax (than x1 night) I would add a swim - also
My double room was extremely hot. Uncomfortably hot. Opened the windows of course. Took a shower to cool down. No air conditioning.
Bathroom spotless and clean. Bed linen great, clean and fresh. The carpet needed more hoovering, plastic bits, dry flaky stuff by the curtains and plinth.

The room service was impeccable everything was always replaced and room was always clean when I returned and towels and coffee condiments were replaced after use
The available amenities from the bar , spa and outside seating area was great that the hotel has all this available but the spa was a bit dated in style and the hallways to the rooms looked like a hovel but the rooms were in Pristine condition

The decor was very worn and tired. We had 8 rooms booked, all of which were dirty, stains on curtains and shower curtains and some of the bed sheets as well. Room keys did not work constantly and involved going up and down two flights of stairs every time to reset them every time someone left the room. Pool facilities were apauling, roof looks like it was falling through, floor wasn’t clean, pool was crumbling around the sides, hot tub was smelling to the point none of use went into it, there are better quality abandoned buildings!
Great location. Easy stay. Helpful a welcoming staff (receptionist particularly noteable). Plenty of parking. Big room and comfortable bed. Slept really well. Good range of foods at breakfast, especially for anyone with food intolerances.
Would have liked tomatoes with breakfast. Room supplies and refresh a little random. (Odd number of drinks/biscuits in a double room, not all used items replaced). Small things.

It was old and tired. I was given a room whether there wasn’t even a fan. There’s no air come. I was very uncomfortable due to the heat.
They take dogs. Free parking.
Poor design of bedroom which was poorly maintained. Very busy with noisy events and full carpark.

Noisy room. Dirty carpets. No clothes storage. Long wait at reception. Poor view from bedroom..Room overlooked storage and air conditioning units. Struggle to find parking space in car park. Some staff 'surly' natured.
