Everything about this property ♥️ staff, service, amenities and plenty of open space
The location and breakfast
The smell in the bathroom, had to ask to change rooms.
The outdated poor decor and all furniture had marks/dents on
Great location mice room and breakfast

Room was great.
grounds and reception were very good
Bathroom needed grab rails for shower
The Burgers we had were not very good
Bed was comfortable
We were delighted with the hotel and staff. We liked the proximity of the hotel as it was just outside of York. We also liked the food in the Restaurant zit was delicious..
We will never book the hotel through Booking .com again . We were led to believe that we had breakfast included. Next time we come to York we will book it with yourselves. I have a card now.
The wheelchair accessible room was great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and again the staff in the restaurant were very good. Our room was a good size and comfortable.
It was all good
The location was ideal, the bus stop into York was just across the road.
The free, on-site parking was a huge bonus.
The price was really low for such a lovely hotel.
The hotel was quiet, clean and spacious. Huge, comfortable bed.
Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and informative.
The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the breakfast staff were kind, courteous and very professional.
A thoroughly pleasant place to stay for exploring York and surrounding area.
Our bathroom was a little tired and could do with updating but it was clean and perfectly functional.
Room size & quality towels.
Nothing
Large rooms and very clean and comfortable
Great location. Value for money. Good breakfast choice with decent coffee!
Room was a bit dated but perfectly functional and clean
The hotel is in a quiet location with excellent service. Direct buses run to the central part of York, so this hotel is perfect for tourism.
In the room, I found an iron, ironing board, and a trouser press already provided without having to ask. Each socket and light source can be switched on and off independently.
The breakfast buffet isn’t particularly varied, but you can easily assemble a full English breakfast. The small berry muffins are absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying.
It’s quite easy to get lost in the old part of the building, even with directional signs. The floors are very creaky, though this actually adds to the old manor atmosphere.
There are no European-style power sockets in the room – you’ll definitely need an adapter. The taps are traditional English style (one for boiling hot water and one for ice-cold), so you can only get a comfortable water temperature in the shower. The room has no minibar (nowhere to keep items cold) and no safe for storing valuables.
Buses to the city run infrequently and taxi waiting times are unpredictable, but that’s not the hotel’s fault – just something to keep in mind.
One small detail: if you’re an athlete or carefully monitor your weight, bring your own scales. The hotel has no weighing option at all – neither for body weight nor for luggage.
Friendly staff and beautiful room
