Staff not so welcoming
Close to the park and ride into York and the staff were very friendly
Very dated room, mould in the bathroom, hot tap to the sink not working, no comfortable seating outside and the seating that was there was overlooking the car park, no teabags in the room-only earl grey and realised when went to make a drink early morning. Constant banging of doors from 6am, extremely hard mattress
Beautiful building and garden
It was spacious and quiet. It was close to where I needed to be. But also easily accessible to other parts of York.
The mattress was too hard. Also the bath side panel was wood and raised above the rim of the bath. I was just too high. I grazed my knee several times trying to get in and out of the bath.
