Good Stay
Pros:

Arrived at the hotel, was warmly greeted by the reception staff (Catherine). They explained about all of the amenities and restraunt timings.
The room was clean and tidy, and the big bonus was the A/C that was in the room, as the weather was hit.

Hotel stay
Pros:

We had a lovely two-night stay at the Mercure Norwich Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel well looked after throughout our stay.

Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of hot and cold options, and the hotel was in a convenient location with plenty of parking. Overall, it offered great value for money, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you to the whole team for making our visit so enjoyable! Kathrine behind the reception was really lovely and helpfull.

It was disappointing, and we would not stay there again.
Pros:

Quite convenient for getting around Norwich without going into the centre. Handy for visiting places to north and west, and the airport.

Cons:

Poor situation at entrance to a commercial estate.
Dropped food on carpet in restaurant when we arrived. We informed waitress immediately. Dropped food ( a breakfast sausage) was still there by Table 28 when we had our final breakfast three days later, together with bits of pastry from a previous day's breakfast left on the carpet in clear view.
The staircase leading to the first floor were not kept clean. The same dirt was left on them for at least a couple of days.
There was no toilet brush in the bathroom, and the double toilet roll holder was inexplicably mounted below knee height, adjacent to the wc, instead of at the side, higher up.
The metal wall-mounted lamps over the bed were far too too low, and we both banged our heads on them when sitting up in bed.
The food available in the Brasserie was disappointing. Luckily we found a great pub in nearby Eaton, which served really good food, so we had our evening meal there three times during our four night stay.

Fine for a night if the price suits.
Pros:

The staff were friendly

Cons:

It’s very dated, cracked and a bit grimy in places. Can’t change temp on the aircon. Light pull in the bathroom was frayed and dirty

Lovely hotel but restraunt lacking
Pros:

Location, room and staff was lovely

Cons:

Food in restraunt was over priced and poor. Half the items was off the menu and the food received was overcooked and not pleasant. Ended up eating out.

Comfortable stay
Pros:

Air conditioning was a god send in this heat wave we just had. Clean room, comfortable beds, tea and coffee. Hotel is very dated but the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed.

Pros:

The staff were so lovely and so helpful

Cons:

No air conditioning. Our room was so, so, so hot that it made us feel quite unwell and we had only a couple of hours sleep. It was unfortunate that there was a heatwave at the time. For the price I would expect a hotel with Aircon especially as we were placed upstairs. The window opening was tiny. We were so uncomfortable we nearly considered sleeping in our car in the carpark. The staff were lovely and did their best. Just a shame that the hotel is so dated. Our stay should have been a bit cheaper in my opinion. The food is expensive as well. I'm sure if there wasn't a heatwave at that time we might have been more comfortable.

Comfortable Stay and a Great Night’s Sleep
Pros:

A pleasant surprise on checking in was finding that my room had air conditioning, which made a big difference to my stay. After a busy week, I enjoyed the most comfortable night's sleep I've had in days, with a quiet room and a very comfortable bed. I woke up feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready for the day ahead. A great stay, and I would happily return to the Mercure Norwich.
