Norwich Hotel Mercure - great staff but dated hotel.
Pros:

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and polite which was a good thing. A slightly disparate group though. Air conditioning in the room although this is locked at 19 degrees.
Free parking and location.

Cons:

the actual hotel is very dated and in need of a refurbishment. The room was quite small for the size of the bed. Needs to have sockets and charging ports next to the bed. Bathroom quite small with an over bath shower which leaked out of the screen.
Walk in showers would be so much better, easier and safer.
The breakfast was rather disappointing. The fruit was cut up into small chunks instead of slices, there wasn’t much left when we went in at 8 am. The bacon was not cooked enough and the sausage was awful. The juice containers were all empty and eventually refilled but too late for us. Just a poor selection all round.
Rather overpriced for the quality of hotel.

Was ok, but rooms very stuffy, fans supplied not enough, a little bit shabby.
Pros:

Looked after like family
Pros:

Staying here once a month and I am looked after so well - especially by Catherine and the Front of House team. Rooms are clean and functional with everything you’d expect and, a total bonus of air con in mine with outside temperatures of 35 degrees!

Very comfortable Stay
Pros:

Another great 2 week stay at the Mercure Hotel Norwich, I looked forward to my cool comfortable room every evening in the extreme hot weather. The air conditioning was fabulous. The Staff & cleaners work so hard to make sure all guests needs are attended to.
I would like to mention a few of the staff who made my stay comfortable, Erin, Cat & Kayleigh on reception, Megan & Nicky on the bar, Jack & Chloe for room service & Julie & Jelvin in the restaurant for Breakfast. Great warm friendly team at the Mercure. See you all next time.

The staff were lovely and the food in the restaurant was nice. The rooms were not up to standard though and we wouldn’t

Cons:

The rooms are really tired. There was mould on the walls around the windows, I was woken by water dripping from the air con unit onto the bedside table. The bathroom needed a good clean, black mould around tiles and the shower had mould around it.

Disappointed Mercure/Accord
Pros:

Very disappointed with Mercure. Have used them before and have always been lovely. This one however is tired, dated and in need of a refurb. The carpets were grubby and room was a little shabby. On the plus side the staff were friendly and bedding was clean. Location was ok -Atmosphere was lacking somewhat. I would say this is a hotel that would be best suited for business stopover. Paid £185 for Sat & Sun overnight stay breakfast incl. Wont book to stay here again though.
