great checkin was early he did everything to get me in
I had exceptional service from Rhonda on the front desk, both on check in and checking out, however it was with issues that shouldn’t have needed attention.
Watch your bill for extra charges.
The room was fine although the thermostat for the room was in an unusual and challenging place to adjust and i wanted to change the temperature.
Convenient location
The front desk staff who welcomed me upon my arrival was very friendly and professional. The employees working the following morning were also kind, helpful, and attentive. I truly appreciated their excellent customer service, which was the best part of my stay.
Overall, my stay was disappointing, especially considering the price I paid for one night.
The bathtub was heavily worn, making it look dirty even if it had been cleaned. One side of the bedspread was torn, and the room had a noticeable cigarette smell, as if someone had smoked in it before. I also found small plastic debris on the floor next to one of the beds, which made the room feel poorly cleaned.
For the price charged for a single night, I expected a much cleaner room and better overall maintenance.
The homewood suites by Hilton mall of America was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. It was just remodeled and there were a few things we need help with but Rhoda on the front desk was SO HELPFUL if she could not answer our problem she had maintenance come up in very timely manner. Breakfast each morning was awesome. What ever you do don’t lose Rhoda she is a gem, and your manager was very good also.
Very disappointed in this hotel. Will look for another hotel next time I’m in this area. Unfriendly staff.
It was a great experience in this hotel specially have a great housekeeper. Veronica is a hardworking person and she makes sure my room was clean all the time. From my experience of hotels and housekeeping i know that Veronica is an extraordinarily, talented and hardworking person. Thank you for your hospitality Veronica.
Muchas gracias por todo Veronica.
Stayed early July. Had a situation where I needed to add a stay to both sides of my existing reservation. Had to be patched through to phone reservations as apparently there is no way to do that on the Hilton app.
I had to check out of my room each morning and then check back into the same room each day. I would think there would be an easier way to accomplish this.
Hotel was very busy at check-in, and I couldn’t check into my room until about 5:30pm. I noticed a backup at check-in each day.
So at first glance, this was a bit of a hassle, but the staff was very professional and pleasant through it all. Specifically Rhoda who cheerfully explained the why behind having to re-check-in each day. She also remembered me each time we had the encounter.
I should also add that this hotel is undergoing renovations, but during my 3 day stay, it wasn’t materially noticeable.
Room on floor 7 was new and very clean. Breakfast was convenient and clean.
The staff were kind, the parking and location convenient after a flight.
The room was outdated, the bed was absolutely unacceptable, creaky and worn out, the floor of the kitchen stuck to my shoes, the air conditioning also old. The iron and ironing board need replacement. Just not a great experience. I requested a room near the elevator, did not get that. The keys didn´t work the first time which made me walk all the way from the very last room on the floor, mine of course back to reception and back again with a very heavy suitcase. Just not a great experience. The rooms are being renovated so that is great. In the meantime don´t give people these rooms.
Friendly staff. Just a few minute walk to mall of America. Very clean
Beds could use some updating
It was clean.
Wallpaper coming off the walls, had to pay extra for parking, left elevator made weird noises and "jumped" in place to open doors, got only 2 coffee, milk, sugar and cups for 3 people for 2 days!
The pool is nice and the rooms are decent
The pull out couches are not comfortable at all. You can feel the metal bars where you’re laying. The continental breakfast had enough plates/bowls/silverware for 5 people so everyone is waiting on more. No one wipes down the tables after everyone else leaves and there are no wet towels provided to clean them up so everyone is eating on dirty sticky tables. The lady who checked me in last night seemed overwhelmed with phone calls and was trying to check me in while in the middle of talking on the phone to someone else. The manager in the morning just walks around and complains about the guests taking all the food so she can’t make herself a plate
Front desk service was great. The room was clean and better than I expected in spaciousness. The pool was nice, the breakfast in the morning was great.
I didn't like that we had to pay extra to park in the parking lot but it wasn't a huge deal.
The Homewood Suites were awesome. First, the location was great. It’s right across from the Mall of America, near Target and Trader Joe’s, and is even connected to Chevy’s. Second, the rooms were clean and spacious. It has a stove and microwave making cooking convenient. It also has a small gym and laundry. The breakfast was not to be missed either. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Rhonda. Would stay again if in the Minneapolis area.
The property itself was great and in a great location.
Our room smelled so strong of cologne. It was absolutely miserable- like someone dumped a bottle- or someone sprayed it heavily trying to cover up another smell. We had to try to sleep with windows open- since the windows were open, we couldn’t keep it cool. We didn’t request a room change because we thought we would power through. We didn’t sleep well and I left with an awful headache. I mentioned it to the front desk at checkout but there was no offer for a partial refund.
