Disputed smoking charge, billing errors, no notification
Pros:

Hampton Inn charged me $339.00 for “smoking” despite never smoking in the room. I only found out a month+ later when checking unusually high cc charge. When I requested proof, the hotel’s only evidence was a PM2.5/PM10 air quality sensor reading — this type of sensor detects general particulate matter and cannot chemically distinguish cigarette smoke from steam, hair products, or other common sources. No odor, burn marks, or other corroborating evidence was provided. I disputed directly with the property and escalated to Hampton corporate, and both declined to reverse the charge. Poor air quality might have been result of the hotel proximity to highways on one side and Wegmans loading docks on the other. See picture attached.
They also double-charged me for my dog — only refunded after I caught it and protested. On top of that, they had my address wrong on file. And despite apparently having a sensor that detects smoke in real time, I was never notified during my stay, which would have let me address or dispute it on the spot instead of finding out after checkout.
Disappointing experience overall. If you stay here, get an itemized bill at checkout and check it carefully before you leave.

Very unclean room
Pros:

Disappointing stay. Room was very dirty. I found dog food under the sink in the bathroom upon checking in. Had to return several towels that were dirty. And the bed sheets had stains in them - see attached. Wouldn’t recommend staying there.
