The hotel itself was very nice, would have liked some notification of some of the inconveniences prior to arrival.
Pros:

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast bar and the staff were kind and helpful.

Cons:

That the pool was out of service the entire stay. The ice machine didn’t work on our floor. The air conditioner in our room made an awful chirping noise when it was on. There was construction when we arrived which made it hard to pull up to unload our vehicle.

Pros:

We arrived around 1 p.m. from Boston and the young man at the counter was very courteous and helpful in taking our luggage so that we could head into Salem for the day.

In the evening we were having issues with the television and channels, the young lady that was working the front desk was kind enough to come back on two occasions that evening to assist, however the issue was never resolved.

Cons:

The facilities was under heavy construction that was not made known to us in advance. The pool supposedly has just been renovated, however there were some mechanical issues that came about and it was closed. We also received an email the day of checkin letting us know that WiFi was down and they were trying to resolve the issue. The television in our room would only show channels 1,2 and 3 and all other channels would show up as static. The morning we were checking out, we had connected their hairdryer to one of their wallplugs, and it popped a fuse, causing all the power to go out in the room. We had to call the front desk, to have it fixed. On a second attempt, the issue occurred once again and took them 10 minutes to fix. Needless to say, we could not use the hairdryer.

Unfortunately, one of the worst experiences to close out my vacation to Massachusetts, and very upset with myself for not having gone with one of my other options available to me at the time of booking my stay.

Pros:

Breakfast options were good.

Cons:

1st room we had was dirty with water and hair on the floor. 2nd room there was industrial duck tape in the deadbolt of the door. Took us about 5 minutes to get it off. The Manager would not speak to us she she was never there. So we were told! We were constantly told " she'd be in" yet she never was! We aware! Pool was broken and construction started at 7am right outside our window!

The bathroom was not that clean and not stocked properly. No extra toilet paper or tissues. The coffee pot was disgustingly dirty with what look like white mold
