Excellent staff
Pros:

The coffee shop downstairs. The staff there were great, helpful and attentive. Not sure how much they're connected to the hotel itself. Cleaning staff also very helpful, refills and the like. Location is hard to beat, right beside the station (Zurich HB). Quiet street, Coop opposite.

Cons:

The room was dark. Too few lights. Otherwise, the room was spacious, clean, good. Electronic check-in is a huge hassle and point deduction for me, but the coffee shop staff were very helpful.

Gute Wahl für eine Nacht in Zürich
Pros:

Die Lage nahe dem Bahnhof ist super. Im Hotel ist eine gemütliche Bar mit Aussenbereich, wo wir unseren Aperitif genossen haben. Das Hotelpersonal kann ich nicht bewerten, da wir aufgrund des Self Check-in keinen Kontakt mit jemandem vom Personal hatten.

Cons:

Lärm durch den Bahnverkehr war nicht wahrzunehmen, aber das Geschrei der Leute mitten in der Nacht in der Nähe des Hotels. Das könnte man mit besser abgedichteten Fenstern sicher beheben. Zimmer und Bad waren wirklich sehr, sehr klein. Für eine Nacht ist das okay, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt sicher nicht zu empfehlen.

Overall comfortable but for more than 1 night might be less so.
Pros:

Very smart and comfortable but a safety issue that we had to take up with the management. It was not possible to fix the problem during our 1 night stay but they ensured us they would fix the problem in due course. A solution was offered but we weren't able to take advantage of it.
It is a self check in hotel which worked well but with a problem to sort out it took too long for someone to get back to me to sort it out.

Cons:

A few things could be improved which we shared with the management. I will not mention them here in the hope that they are sorted out.

Würde für eine weitere Übernachtung in Zürich wieder im Hotel Josef bestellen.
Pros:

Die Lage ist prima. Nicht weit vom Bahnhof entfernt. Ebenso gibt es Restaurants in der Nähe für das Abendessen.

Cons:

Das Check-in sucht man nicht im Restaurant. Ich bin mit weiteren Kunden durch das halbe Treppenhaus gelaufen.
Dies wäre gut, wenn die Hotelbetreiber den Hinweis Self-Check befindet sich im Restaurant.
