We will never stay at a Hampton Inn again
Pros:

It was nice having so much room in the suite.

Cons:

Bad mattress, cold coffee, cold watery oatmeal, just a generally lousy and flavorless breakfast, microwave was in a dark corner with no lighting and no instructions for use, also no towels or paper towels of any sort in the kitchenette, two different kinds of air conditioners with no instructions for use, barely any towels given, furniture was old and dirty, etc. etc.

Cons:

We had a problem with the key to enter our room and had to make several trips to the front desk to get it rectified. The front desk staff was respectful and professional, but it just took longer to check in than we had hoped for.

Highly recommend! Great value!
Pros:

Convenient location to Advent Shawnee Mission Hospital. Parking was well lit. The exterior was well kept including the beautiful landscaping. Check-in was easy and the staff member was friendly. I had booked a King standard room online and she was kind enough to upgrade me at no charge since there had been a maintenance issue with the standard room prior and she wanted to ensure it had been fixed properly before putting someone in there. The suite was very clean. The bed was perfect! Environment was quiet for a peaceful nights stay.

The hotel needs some upkeep. The carpet was separated from the floor and some of the floors were uneven

The bed was the best part.

Cons:

The air conditioner in the room was not consistent, when it would kick off it would stay off for a long time and it would get hot in the room.

Good Breakfast Selection - Rooms/Hallways need upgrade
Pros:

The breakfast selection was good and there was a good variety to pick from. The rooms need to be upgraded, the beds were horrible and desperately in need of being replaced. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced/restretched and it is a big trip hazard especially for older people. The hotel was easy to find and the staff was helpful.

It's not very expensive, but it's only a one-star hotel—it's not like the comments say.
Cons:

People make a lot of noise at night—slamming doors and coughing in the hallway—so it doesn't align at all with the reviews it has; I didn't like it. However, the service is excellent.
