Would visit again
Pros:

Checkin went well, staff were very accommodating. We had a small problem with our room and the general manager solved it quickly. Colin was quick to retrieve our car and helpful loading it.

Broken Pool, Poor Customer Service, Uncleaned Bathrooms!
Pros:

The only good thing I can say is that this was a prime location past that NO THANK YOU AND NEVER AGAIN!!! They failed to tell us upon check in that the pool was down and we had to use the pool at the holiday inn - there was no compensation offered and the manager was extremely rude! The ceiling was also taken down outside the elevator by the pool - you could see the air ducts and the insulation. The pool didn’t open until the last night of our stay but was extremely cloudy and I can only imagine the amount of chlorine because it was green we checked in 2 days prior. Upon getting to our room we discovered multiple hairs in the shower and that none of the soaps or shampoos were filled. There was mold on the sink counter and the shower faucet was also coming off. Our room was not cleaned on day 3 of our stay like advertised cleaning every other day and when questioned we were told we had to request service if we wanted it despite what they told us at check in and what is on the mirror in the bathroom describing their room service. We WONT be staying here again and would highly recommend that you don’t either!!!!

Nice hotel and good location
Pros:

The hotel and the staff were great. Miguel Cosme was awesome, he recommended great restaurants and sightseeing places to go during the day and at night. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel is close to the waterfront, restaurants, and great sightseeing places.

Valet Lost Track of Our Key, and Management Never Showed Up
Pros:

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Hampton Inn Savannah Historic District was extremely disappointing.

When we checked into our room, we discovered that both the refrigerator and the room phone were not working. Since we were only staying one night and were exhausted from traveling, we chose not to request a room change. We had also asked if an upgrade to a king room was available but were told the hotel was fully booked.

The most concerning part of our stay occurred the following morning.
At 10:02 AM, we texted valet to request our vehicle. At 10:09 AM, valet responded that our vehicle would be ready in approximately 10 minutes. We arrived downstairs around 10:20 AM and expected our vehicle shortly thereafter.
Instead, we waited for nearly an hour.

During that time, we spoke with multiple valet attendants. Each one verified our ticket number and repeatedly told us our key was not in the valet key box and that another attendant was retrieving our vehicle. As more time passed, another valet attendant from a neighboring hotel was brought over to help because of the volume of checkouts. He also stated he could not locate our key.

At that point, I became genuinely concerned that our vehicle key had been lost or stolen.

I spoke with the front desk manager twice, requested assistance, and asked to speak with the hotel manager. Although I was told the manager had been called, no manager ever came to speak with us while we were there.

The valet manager was contacted, employees from the previous shift were being called, and the valet key box was searched multiple times. My fiancé eventually walked to the parking garage himself and located our vehicle on the seventh floor. Unfortunately, that did us no good because no one could locate our key.
After repeatedly requesting to look in the valet key box ourselves, we were finally allowed to do so. Within moments, my fiancé found our key exactly where employees had repeatedly insisted it was not. It had simply been placed in the wrong location within the key box.

Our vehicle was finally returned around 11:20 AM, more than an hour after we initially requested it.

To their credit, the hotel refunded our $48 valet fee, which we appreciated. However, when American Express Travel contacted the hotel on our behalf, management declined to provide any additional accommodation, stating they were not responsible because valet is operated by a third party.

While I understand valet services may be contracted separately, this experience reflected the overall management of the property. The broken room amenities, the prolonged delay, the repeated misinformation regarding our vehicle key, and the complete absence of hotel management during a stressful situation fell well below the level of service we expected.

I hope management reviews this incident and improves communication, oversight, and guest service so future guests do not experience what we did.

Bien situado.
Pros:

A must stay.
Pros:

Clean and comfy room. TV didn't work at first , but they quickly fixed it. Loved that breakfast was included. Nice pool view. The bartender was amazing. Loved the coffee and tea bar. It was always fresh and hot. Kudos.

Cons:

The breakfast staff was a tad rude. I didn't like being asked to leave exactly at the end time so they could clean. We were sitting as a family enjoying our morning and breakfast together. Rushed us. Not cool.
I wish there were bar services up at the pool. That would be awesome. Do not valet. It's $45(or more). Go next door to public parking. It was $40 cheaper($5....)

Long wait. Forgotten
Pros:

I messaged valet for my vehicle retrieval before I got on the elevator. Before I hit the lobby, other hotel visitors informed me that the service was backed up over an hour. I waited in the lobby while they worked the backlog. They lost one woman's keys. After 50 min, the lobby cleared up, so I went to check on my spot in line. Turns out there was no longer a line and I had been forgotten. The guy on duty went to get my car, leaving the kiosk empty for the next 3 people that wanted to check in or out.

Great Location, But Housekeeping Needs Improvement
Pros:

We spent 1 night at this highly rated hotel. We liked everything except for the housekeeping in our room. It appeared that only the toilet and sink were cleaned. The shower floor looked like someone with dirty feet showered there. Thank God we brought sandals. To my horror, I used a towel that had yellow/brown stains all over it. I hadn’t noticed until it was too late. In retrospect we should have changed rooms upon arrival, but we don’t like to complain. The bedsheets looked like someone had slept there and upon inspection, we noticed makeup stains on the pillows and sheets. There was also sewage smell in the bathroom. My husband spoke to the front desk. Laquisha took charge and really tried to make it right. She called 3 times to make sure the sheets and the towels were changed. It took a little while for housekeeping to come. He looked bothered to change the sheets for us. It was quite disgusting. I chose this hotel because Hampton Inns are known for their cleanliness and I personally have always had a good experience staying at a Hampton Inn nationwide. We loved the location of this property, the valet staff were really nice and friendly. We were greeted by most staff members in the elevator. The breakfast area was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything, except for the housekeeping was great on this trip. It really changed our opinion of Hampton Inns and we will be reading reviews before booking with one again. I hope management reads this and teaches the staff how to properly clean. We were excited to stay but this was really disappointing.
