Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

The hotel staff was not present and left me waiting over half an hour to be checked in, when they did turn up and they was very rude and made excuses that made no sense.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

Nice atmosphere, peaceful and friendly. Great location for visiting London without driving in.

Cons:

The bar could have stayed open later to accommodate people who return from London. Bar shut at 9.30pm in the week!

Good price, but some drawbacks to this
Pros:

Location was great for what I needed (to go to Harlow the next morning) and it was very helpful to have a big free parking area. The area is quite pleasant, with the canal boats. Staff were helpful and there was a restaurant/bar area to get food in the evening or in the morning (paid extra). Price was great.

Cons:

Just a few bits led to the lower scores for my stay. The bathroom smelled like sewage, which was thankfully mostly contained by closing the door, but still very unpleasant. The room heaters had bizarrely been set to 38 degrees (for mid May when it had started to get warm anyway), so the room was unbelievably hot when I arrived quite late. I had to switch it off and open the patio door to the room (ground floor hotel room), but there were no windows, so I didn't feel I could leave it open as there was a footpath right nearby, so didn't feel safe. So room ended up being uncomfortably hot most of the night, sadly. Mattress was old, so a bit uncomfortable, but I expected some element of this given the price.
