Location, customer service, food and ambiance were outstanding. Highly recommend this hotel and Joni restaurant for both breakfast and dinner.
Room choices: Only downside was that they only have one size small room if you need 2 beds. But everything was fantastic!
Great hotel, staff, rooms, location & breakfast. Fantastic place. Will miss the morning latte's & lobstrer benedict.
Great experience overall. Very friendly & helpful staff. Located in a great part of town that has a lot of great restaurant and shopping options. Also like the Whole Foods just down the street.
Excellent service from start to finish. Our room wasn’t quite ready at check-in, but the front desk team kindly took care of our bags and offered us a complimentary drink while we waited. The concierge was also incredibly thoughtful and went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable.
It really is the little things that count, and the level of hospitality here stood out. We stay at many hotels throughout the year, and service like this is what makes us want to return. Highly recommend.
Amazing hotel, staff, food, accommodation and general guest experience. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.
We greatly appreciate the special care and attention we receive at the Park Hyatt Toronto not only because of our globalist status but that we were married there 30 years ago. While a lot has changed over the 3 decades, we appreciate management’s efforts to work with us on the challenges we personally face in the evolution of the hotel. It is commendable that management do their best to recognize guests as individuals with different needs.
Love this property as a splurge staycation as a local but there tends to always be some service issue that keeps them from hitting it out if the park. The suites are lovely & breakfast (comp’d for globalist) is excellent - we all love the streak & eggs.
Clean, modern, great bar and restaurant. Location close to museum, parks, high end shopping and transit. Further from distillery, harbor, and old town. Parking is $$.
Great location… the large area for unloading and valet service, which is protected from the weather and is easy to access, was a bonus!
EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER WAS SMILING AND MARVELOUSLY HELPFUL!
??? Nothing!
An excellent hotel in the heart of Toronto. The rooms were great and the staff were very friendly and professional. Just across the street from excellent shopping and dining.
Great location. Staff very pleasant.
Check in delayed by 1hr 15. Almost missed a very important meeting. Bathroom cleanliness not exactly what I expect from a property of this standard. Human hair in the shower.
It left a bad taste. Being a Hyatt explorist member, I expected a decent room. But I was given lower floor room, close to elevator with a shared door to next room - which facilitated lots of noise from neighboring room. I didn’t have comfortable sleep due to noise. The hotel truly won’t recognize loyalty status . It’s not worth it and look elsewhere .
After a terrible stay at another hotel in Toronto. My fiance & I visited Park Hyatt to see as an option. When we got there, we were impressed, was greeted and offered water even if we were not guests at the time. We immediately knew this was a good hotel to switch. In addition, the restaurant, bar, and overall service was beyond our expectations. I personally recommend this place all the way.
Park Hyatt Toronto is a value for money! The neighborhood is nice; the location is strategic. The staff are accommodating and really helpful. They support sustainability which is a big plus. The room is nice and cozy. Everything about this hotel is wonderful and will complete your Toronto experience.
Great location in the middle of Yorkville with convenient walking to shops and restaurants. We had booked a deluxe room and it was surprisingly spacious with lovely decor. A lot of thought was put into the room, including a tiny shelf in the shower where you could rest your leg for shaving. Always appreciate a bidet too. It was my birthday and the hotel sent up a lovely pastry and sparkling wine. Minor observations, the check-in area is a very small room which felt congested quickly and the lobby is austere with no inviting spaces for lounging. Staff was pleasant but lacking a bit of finesse. We travel to Asia frequently where service and amenities at luxury hotels are unparalleled, so take my review with a grain of salt. But overall, it was a lovely stay and we will return when we are next in Toronto.
We just returned from the Park Hyatt Toronto and I'd have to say the reviews are pretty accurate. It's a beautiful property with some highs and some lows. Overall it would be a 4.2-4.3 rating for me.
The pros:
Beautiful property, love the flowers in the entry and lovely signature scent
Spacious rooms and nice finishes
Convenient house car service
fantastic location
Fantastic breakfast at Joni
(mostly) wonderful staff
The cons:
Pricey compared to other 5* properties in Toronto
Fairly small lobby, the check-in area is small room to the right of the entrance
Inconsistent staff experiences
No globalist recognition at all
No suite upgrade
No space in the fridge (it's prefilled with mini-bar items)
We stayed as a family of 4 and right before checking in, I saw there were several suites available (standard and premium). Upon check-in though, the staff told me that there was only a corner suite available for $250 per night. I told her I could see the suite online so she went to ask her manager who promptly said No. Ok....I didn't want to argue so we just took the standard room.
We're Globalists and don't always fight for the upgrade but do expect some type of welcome amenity or note in the room. Nothing here. I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday to the concierge later that day and she was so sweet- sent up a cake, note, macarons and little raccoon stuffed animal (it had the cutest Park Hyatt bandana). The cleaning staff were equally wonderful and gave my kids extra chocolates plus a little note.
Breakfast at Joni was AMAZING. My husband said it's his favorite Hyatt breakfast (other than Asia). High praise coming from a guy who's stayed everywhere from PH Paris to Alila Ventana. I think it was the crispy hashbrowns that won his heart :)
Overall would I stay again? No. There are so many other 5* properties in Toronto to choose from that the Park Hyatt just isn't worth a return for us.
excellent service and room, great location next to ROM, get the feeling of being cared for, best room service food in a while
Upon booking, I requested a late checkout for my daughter so she would have a safe place to wait while I had surgery. They had originally given us 4pm, which we thought was amazing. Unfortunately, my surgery ran later than expected and the hotel allowed her to stay until almost 6 pm, when I was finally ready for discharge, without any additional charges. This helped us both out immensely in a very stressful time for us because she didn't have to wander the city alone with nowhere safe to wait. Very impressed with his level of compassion!
