Rooms are dark, dated and a bit worse for wear. Rotten wooden skirting in the bathroom and plastic peeling off the faux leather chairs in the rooms. Stayed in a double queen room and only 1 bedside table. Breakfast was a let down. Paid extra for maple syrup with the pancakes and it was tasteless and not worth the money. Expensive rooms and food for what you get - there are probably better value hotels in town. Wouldn’t recommend.
Nice rustic vibe, great parking, good location. Bus pass a nice touch.
Technology needs updating. Old TV, no casting and unable to connect devices. WiFi spotty and crashes. TV remote was also very dirty.
King room very dark. Tiny window with minimal natural light.
Beautiful lodge with lovely onsite restaurants
No air conditioning in the room. We visited in July and it was hot
Location, dog friendly, keg next to it!
Bottom of shower curtain wasn’t clean
The hotel design was pleasant. The staff were as helpful as they could be, within the constraints they were working.
The hotel already only allows check in after 16.00 & check out by 11.00 so you are already only getting 19 hours. Then when you arrive after 17.00 your room is still not ready. This it seems (based on what I was told & observed), was due to limited number of cleaning staff, as well as reception staff, (& paid for late check outs from other guests), no doubt in the misguided idea that minimising costs, will maximise profit. However not only was I unhappy but the tour group who were also told (by this time it was 17.40) their rooms were not ready, were very upset & the guide said it was not the first time & they would not be booking there again. Over my 3 days there, numerous other people I spoke to, voiced similar sentiments, The person I dealt with (Lukas) apologised & did all he could, & offered a free breakfast & some wine, but after 11 hours travelling you expect your room (esp at the price of this hotel & only checking in after 16.00). I asked that someone in management contact me to discuss, but despite having my email, my phone number & my being there 3 days, no none made the slightest effort to contact me, which appears to say it all about the management's attitude to guests.
In addition, the room was worn (for example, chairs ripped & patched up with tape), there was a film of dust on the top of the small fridge you could write you name in, & the design of the inner courtyard was such that any noise (& there was plenty from other guests ) was amplified to the extent it was very hard to sleep.
The correct room when we moved in
When we first checked in the room assigned to us was clearly not what we paid in advance for and this was after waiting a further one and a half hours after their published check in time After we complained we were given the correct room and offered a discount plus a complimentary lunch due to the fact that our food was not available from our room, upon checkout the manager Paro Ghosh reneged on the complimentary lunch. Extremely disappointing!!
location, facilities
I loved that it presented well, and that’s where it ended
No a/c, I know if you look closely it’s not listed but I would be much more transparent about that.
Only having a hot pool when you advertise family friendly/KID friendly. And it wasn’t super comfy and definitely outdated.
Location
Location, clean and helpful staff . Laundry facilities is a bonus
Low ceiling parking
Great location; wonderful staff; quick check-in; comfortable beds
Rooms are dated: low toilets, worn furnishings
