As an overnight stopover hotel during our trip, the overall experience was very satisfactory.
Pros:

The hotel’s English countryside architectural style was very charming and pleasant. The front desk staff who assisted us at check-in were extremely kind and friendly. The room we stayed in was very spacious, providing more than enough space for a family to stay comfortably. The breakfast was generous and tasted very good.

cozy and unique stay slightly off Christchurch CBD
Pros:

very friendly staff from check-in to the restaurant, slightly off the CBD area so it’s not that buzzy, with a shopping mall within 10 mins walk away. especially love the comfy beds, the rooms also have heater.

Great stay in a historic refurbished hotel with all the comforts. Warm, cosy & comfortable.
Pros:

Friendly staff, very comfy rooms & a lovely historic hotel that had been refurbished.

Cons:

The late night meals - wasn't good & unfortunately we went to buffet at 9.50am & they had closed early when it said buffet went until 10am so that was disappointing for us.

Pros:

Fantastic location. Friendly staff. We were there during the week and offered an upgraded ehich was quieter for our two night stay. It was super warm, the shower was fantastic and the bed super comfortable Breakfast, as usual, was delicious. We'll be back again!
