We were in Canberra to attend my sister's funeral. Did not need the stress encountered at Mercure.

Moved to new room

Cons:

First room Shower - no space to move - water went straight out shower door and flooded the bathroom area. We had to mop up with the towels available. Requested more towels and asked to be moved to any other room. Shower was unable to be switched off properly and would have been impossible to sleep with shower running continuously in such close proximity to Sleeping area. We had to repack and move all our belongings to another room. Second room had space to spare and a working shower.

Shower would go extremely hot when not expecting it, cushions on the bed had white stains/marks on them, carpets looked dirty

A little run down, kitchen staff seem to be under stress at breakfast, crockery not cleaned properly, had sift through to find a clean one. Selection of food good though

Warm and inviting for a winters stay!
Pros:

Room was neat and tidy and had plenty of space for one or two people. The breakfast was a mixture of continental and cooked food with good variety. The location was quiet with very few shops nearby, a car would be helpful here.

Cons:

The bathroom was quite small and the toilet just fitted in without much space to the wall. It could be an issue for larger people or those with mobility issues
