Perfectly situated with good facilities.
Pros:

The Norfolk Arms is ideally situated in the centre of Arundel and everything is an easy walk from the hotel. The parking is safe and secure.

Cons:

Too many messages from the accomodation before we arrived which seemed quite abrupt.

Staff great, breakfast good. Feel the carpark could be cheaper for residents.
Pros:

Excellent location. Very central to shops and restaurants.

Cons:

The courtyard rooms were a little noisy at night.
Room 104 is next to the entrance doors and with warm weather our window was open. People stopped to talk outside our room , often in loud voices then would open the doors and let them slam.

Well located historical hotel in need of upgrading.
Pros:

Historic building in prime location.

Cons:

We returned to this hotel to reminisce after 35 years although the building is charming it is clearly in need of refurbishing and updating.
Unfortunately we were allocated in the annexe building which lacks the history of the main house.
The breakfast was ok but carried an extra charge.

This historic hotel has a beautiful reception area and pub but the rooms are tired looking and need a facelift. Bathroom
Pros:

Great location for the castle, transportation, restaurants, etc. Historic property nicely restored on the lower level. Staff is very efficient and courteous.

Cons:

Very hot upstairs with little ventilation even with the small fan. Paint and carpet need attention. Why on earth would you replace plumbing fixtures and not update to at least a single faucet system if not a single handle for temperature with single faucet?

Wonderful place to stay
Pros:

Every member of staff we met; Sue, Lewis, Hannah, Caroline et al were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Our room was beautiful and the food was excellent. We will certainly be returning!
Thank you to all who work so hard at the Norfolk Arms Hotel. Jane and Julien Ball

Central location, not the best facilities
Pros:

Location was fantastic right in the heart of Arundel and some rooms were quieter set in the back courtyard. Ours was on the front and so we had some road noise and could hear live music from the pub across the road even with the windows closed. Room was quite well set up with a kettle, free tea and coffee and water and decent towels, an iron and plenty of hangers

Cons:

The bathroom door was very squeaky so impossible to use at night without disturbing the other sleeper. We asked for it to be oiled. It wasn’t. The toilet flush was underpowered and trickled on for a good ten mins - like water torture. The shower was weak. The pillows weren’t great.
