Location is right at Apgujeong station, super convenient, you can take the elevator down. Walkable to Rodeo shopping area. Easy access to Gangnam. Super clean. Super friendly staff. The pastries on the first floor are dangerously good.
The hotel is located in one of the central location of Seoul however, the hotel is showing age and no longer reflects the 5 star status. Not to mention, furnitures were dirty and defective (liquid damaged) and bathroom tiles were chipped.
The experience at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. From the service to the amazing breakfast buffet, to the bar, to the rooms, to the fitness facility, everything was absolutely fantastic.

We recently stayed at this hotel during our trip to Seoul and were very pleasantly surprised. We were regularly greeted by staff who accommodated our requests for adjoining rooms, opened the inter-connecting doors and cleaned daily which is something we weren’t used to since they don’t seem to do that any more at many hotels in the US. The rooms were comfortable, in good condition and spacious. Regularly stocking the minbar and providing snacks was a great treat particularly at the end of the day. We stayed at a second hotel which paled in comparison so when we return, we plan to stay here again. The location is very convenient and with the subway underneath it was very easy to get around. Another nice surprised was the quality of the gym which was much better than most. We unfortunately did not get a chance to experience the roof top due to weather conditions. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel
Everything about my stay was exceptional—from the warm, attentive service to the thoughtful care shown by the staff. Despite arriving early after a long flight from New York, I was kindly accommodated with an early check-in, and small gestures like allowing me to use my welcome drink later made a lasting impression. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with each dish offering excellent quality and flavor, leaving me wishing I had more time to try everything. As a Hyatt member, I was truly impressed by the level of service and would gladly return on my next visit to Korea.

The Andaz Gangnam is, quite simply, one of the finest hotel experiences I've had anywhere in the world. From the moment you step inside, it's clear this is no ordinary property — the design is striking and genuinely unique, blending contemporary Korean artistry with the effortless cool that defines the Gangnam neighborhood. Every corner of the hotel feels considered and beautiful, the kind of place where you find yourself slowing down to take it all in.
The rooms are exceptional — spacious, impeccably appointed, and with an atmosphere that somehow manages to feel both luxurious and personal. But what truly elevates the Andaz Gangnam above its peers is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious, they set a standard that most five-star hotels only aspire to. Special mention must go to the concierge team, who were nothing short of extraordinary — knowledgeable, proactive, and tireless in making sure every aspect of the stay was perfect.

The condition of the room is quite old.
Hotel is very convenient, directly connected to Abgujeong station . Clean big room . Stuff was very friendly, especially the porter man ( I don’t remember his name but he is not Korean, maybe from Middle East or Kazakhstan? Sorry ). I stayed here 3 times, and he remembered me. He is exceptional.

Love andaz hotels. Seoul is no exception maybe a bit more as the team is super courteous and considerate. Food is delicious and location is spot on for access to great restaurants and shopping.
This is the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in Seoul. This hotel is not clean and the service is horrible. There was a cockroach on the washroom floor, the room number was 1010. They did manage to change my room but initially my room was far from the elevator and they placed me in a room close to the elevator. When I asked for food delivery assistance, it was literally impossible. I asked for an English speaking staff and they transferred me to someone that doesn’t speak English. I waited on the line for a long time and then I went to the front desk in the end. They discouraged me to order even when I was willing to pay for the surcharges. This whole conversation took over 30 minutes and no one at the reception offered any assistance. I have stayed at so many hotels in Seoul, not once was I rejected and treated like this before. When I checked out of the hotel, when they asked me how was my stay, when I said it was not great, there was no response from them but just silent treatment, as if they weren’t even listening to what I was saying.
For this price range, there are so many hotels that offer better rooms with good hygiene and better service.
