Andaz Seoul Gangnam, By Hyatt

The Andaz Seoul is a nice property overshadowed by it's lack of hospitality and attention to detail. As a frequent traveler, I try to keep to myself and not ask much from service, provided they stay consistent.
From the start, I had $100 Hotel Collection credit that the reservation desk neve informed me of nor where I could spend it so I had to ask the front desk later and was given different answers.
Secondly, housekeeping has no attention to detail. They removed one of the two robes without replacing it, did not provide a shower floor towel nor (consistent) waters at turndown. The way the room is set up, there is a small bathroom with a sink and a shower with a main sink next to it.
Apparently each room is equipped with only one hand soap so you have to go to the toilet sink to wash your hands instead of the main sink. The thermostat also goes out to 18.5 C but it doesn't go below 21C and it took two days for it to hit that temperature. It was extremely hot the first night.
In addition, when I asked the valet for a taxi, they told me to go inside and ask the front desk for one.
I would say the service is similar to a Hyatt Place but the hotel itself is more on par with an Marriott Autograph collection.
The buffet is very strong and has quite the selection.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel if you prefer higher level of service and attention to detail.

Amazing location, awesome staff! It’s located in a very posh, busy part of Seoul but the team was awesome in making our stay wonderful. It was a peaceful oasis in the bustle of the city.

The Andaz Gangnam is a total GEM. Great staff, beautiful & clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, with a great Andaz made coffee blend, and great in-room dining.

Beautiful place, nice location and wonderful people. They help us with everything and the hotel is beautiful. It’s very convenient that the metro station is literally there by the hotel.

Absolute banger of a hotel!! As mentioned in other reviews, perfect location. The service (incliding the amazing convierge desk) is top tier, five stars. The rooms (we had three basic king rooms and were not upgraded even though we booked through Centurion because the hotel was totally full) were fantastic! Very nice bathroom: fantastic shower and products and a separate powder room which is sooooo nice! Free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the room (plus booze for purchase) and a variety of nice restaurants in the hotel. Gorgeous lobby and impeccable vibes. And the service all around was true luxury five star service. A Seoul local recimmended we sgtay here and I didn't realize it was 1. Hyatt and 2. Not even their luxury brand. Well, no wonder it was sold out, this hotel is fantastic and you will absolutely love your stay here! I have one more night here but could not wait to write my review, it is a remarkable hotel!! Again, the staff...we came from the Ritz in Tokyo and THIS WAS BETTER SERVICE it really was!

Amenities and service are good, but very pricy. Caution when reserving with points, there may be additional cost that is not covered completely with points.

Booked five nights standard room on points as an Explorist. We had been to several Andaz around the world but this was our first stay at one. I chose the Andaz over the other Seoul Hyatts because of the station access, which is very convenient. We were not upgraded on arrival which made be sad but the room was very big for Asia, clean, quiet, and modern. The bathroom was great, as was the bed. House keeping was superb. All staff were friendly. The lounge/bar was great. Door staff were great. We did not do the breakfast. Location was great from which to attack all of Seoul. Neighborhood is great and filled with cafes, restaurants, etc. We had no complaints and a very pleasant stay which is why this hotel is a 5 out of 5 for us.

Andaz Gangnam is located in very convenient locations, just at the exit of the subway station ( exit #3). Hotel staffs are very professional and helpful. Some rooms are in need of repairs and renovations. It is 5 stars with currently 4.8 or 4.9 stars, minus the needed repairs in hotel rooms. There are plenty of dining places near the hotel. Andaz is 300 meters from Hyundai store.

Location is right at Apgujeong station, super convenient, you can take the elevator down. Walkable to Rodeo shopping area. Easy access to Gangnam. Super clean. Super friendly staff. The pastries on the first floor are dangerously good.

The hotel is located in one of the central location of Seoul however, the hotel is showing age and no longer reflects the 5 star status. Not to mention, furnitures were dirty and defective (liquid damaged) and bathroom tiles were chipped.

The experience at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. From the service to the amazing breakfast buffet, to the bar, to the rooms, to the fitness facility, everything was absolutely fantastic.

Great location and access to the trains. Very clean hotel and well-designed.

The breakfast selection was solid with a good variety. The staff here is fantastic.

Would stay here again.
