We enjoyed our two night stay. Breakfast was great and the room was very quiet. About a 15 minute walk to Trinity college area. Walk is very pleasant Area is away from the hustle and bustle of the center of town.
The receptionist who greeted us was fantastic, she was super friendly, welcomed us so well, nothing was a problem for her and we knew immediately that we were going to enjoy our stay, she provided us with great knowledge for the questions we had, one of the best receptionists I have encountered (thank you), there was a car park on site which was brilliant as I was worried about parking in Dublin, once I parked I could enjoy my time. We had lunch in hotel and it was lovely and the room was comfortable, quiet and relaxing with a very good coffee machine
We have no negative complaints or comments as we enjoyed the stay and will stay again.
Great neighborhood
A superb hotel. Amazing professional and friendly staff. So many little things done right. Genuinely one of the best I have ever stayed in.
Fabulous one night stay (Sunday night) in a beautiful executive room on the 5th floor of the Mespil Dublin. It was a rainy evening on check in, but I'm sure on a clear dry day the views from 5th floor are great for picking out the tops of some of some of the nearby landmarks. Could even have enjoyed a walk by the canal to watch the ducks and swans going about their day.
The hotel had great wifi (I connected to a work laptop quickly and with good wifi speed).
Complimentary robes & slippers, Tea/coffee making and a fridge with complimentary water are always welcomed on my stays away.
Enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the Lounge on Sunday evening with my husband who had dropped me up to Dublin. We had the Mespil mixed platter (a mixture of what is already part of the individual starters, but great if your not sure of a full size individual starter or would like a medley). It was certainly worth it. Each starter nicer than the next. My favorite was the bruschetta - melt in your mouth blend of complimenting flavours. Will definitely be back for another Mespil mixed platter 😋.
Salmon and a stacked chicken burger for mains, and my husband could not finish the chips with the chicken burger, as he was so full (does not happen often!).
I must say when I saw the chips initially I thought they looked just 'OK', but there's a reason people say 'never eat with your eyes' as they had just the right amount of crispness and great seasoning. When it came to the chips, my hushand's loss was my gain 😋.
The Mespil is a great place to stay as a base in Dublin, very quiet and peaceful but still so near the city too if needed.
I could see the vastness of the Aviva Statium in the distance when we were about 2mins from hotel (Google maps suggests it's a 4minute drive or 20minute walk from the Mespil - I'd say less for a brisk walker).
Lovely staff on check in and check out, very helpful with clear instructions and very attentive waiting staff in the Lounge for dinner. I had not eaten for a few years in Dublin, so I thought the food prices at the Mespil were very reasonable (for Dublin) with a mixed platter for 2 to start, Mains x2, Guiness 0.0x2 and Sparkling Waterx2 at €91 Euro. The waiter was happy too!
Anyway I've probably outdone the word count allowed for a review, but for business or pleasure - you won't be disappointed with the Mespil in Dublin. It is top of my Dublin favorites list.
Extremely clean hotel with fantastic breakfast and amazing staff who did everything to make our stay perfect
Ottimo hotel. Tutto bene, atmosfera, staff, pulizia. Camere spaziose, letti molto comodi, doccia XL. Per la colazione abbiamo optato per la caffetteria Valentino" a soli 200 metri
Posizione::
-bella in quanto sul Grand Canal dove si può fare una rilassante passeggiata
-leggermente fuori dal centro (Temple Bar), una trentina di minuti a piedi, oppure 15 euro di taxi.
niente
Excellent
Fresh hot food but omelettes were good
Lovely hotel was clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had soup and sandwich in the bar were nice and the breakfast was delicious in the morning.
Clearer instructions/information about the car park would have been helpful.
Stayed here for two nights recently. Quieter, nice part of Dublin but walkable to city centre.
Easy transfer from airport via taxi for less than 50 euros, takes about 30 minutes, alternatively by coach with a few minutes walk.
Stayed in a premier king room, very comfortable and well maintained, great mattress and pillows. Wi-Fi was excellent. Great room temperature control, complimentary espresso, biscuits and chocolate. Request for a particular room location was adhered
Staff very friendly throughout, food both in evening and breakfast was lovely. Dublin not the cheapest city for hotels but this one was reasonably priced
Lovely hotel in a great location. Adriano was kind enough to find me a room to check in very early after a long, sleepless flight. Very kind and helpful staff, nice rooms, and close to the heart of everything in Dublin.
