Firstly, this is the best holiday (for relaxation and luxury) that we've ever had. The service is exceptional, the food in the restaurants we ate in was superb. Mare Nostrum could be Michelin-star it's so special. The cleanliness is second to none. Our room was spacious and perfectly placed for the ice machine, lifts, main restaurant etc. If we went back we'd definitely book that one again. Just one suggestion - a handle from the outside (balcony) back in to the room might be helpful. I found it very difficult when the door was firmly shut (not locked) to get back in. The nets overlooking the golf course didn't spoil our stay at all. However, just one or two wider recommendations, and we only say this because it IS a 5* hotel at a premium price. Music (Sky Pool). There was a DJ on one day, and it was thumping. The peace and tranquility and the beautiful sound of the secadas was ruined. This is not a club 18-30's holiday or Hotel. Whilst we are in our 60's we're not old in heart or mind whatsoever; indeed after the Aerobics session the music was left on and a young teenage boy turned it off. They, too, had come as a family to take advantage of the 5* experience. The brollies around the pool are quite worn and do not give as much shade as they should. It was fantastic that the day beds weren't charged extra (we'd found that in other places), but some are torn in places and the shade could be better; you can still feel the heat of the sun through the canvas. Music in the Blue Lounge Bar does not match the Hotel's 5* reputation. The first night there was the 'wannabe Frank Sinatra' who couldn't hold a note. The Flamenco dancers were clearly proficient, but why are all the acts using backing tapes and a tablet? Perhaps an authentic Flamenco guitarist would have added a touch of class. Either do it right or not at all. All in all, this is a fabulous Hotel and we highly recommend it. Let's hope we can return at some point, but this was a special treat for us.
Luxury from the first step through the door.
Imagine being greated with a cold glass of cava when you walk throught he front door, then again when you join them for dinner at one of their signature restaurants onsite. We had selected the "all-inclusive" option offered and it did not disappoint. The food, from the breakfast buffet, to the food trucks to the sit-down restaraunts was nothing less than a 5 star experience. (Oh, you have to try the floating breakfast!).
This resort is a little off my adult-only niche; however, they do have two adult only pool areas, one indoors located at the spa and one rooftop. The swim up bar is located in the main pool and does allow children to "belly-up" to the bar. The only thing that could make this better - swim up bar in the adult only pool area.
The rooms are incredibly sound-proof. Our room was located about 6 rooms from the playground and near the kids club area; however, we never heard anything from any of the neighboring rooms.
The staff was incredibly accommodating and truly sought to make sure your every need was fulfilled. We had a few minor hiccups but truly feel that was due to language barrier and just cultural differences.
While staying, we played 9 holes on their golf course and must say, Golf de Andratx is the most beautiful golf course we've ever played. The views are definitely worth taking in a round.
This hotel is average. Staff were very friendly, rooms clean, themed restaurants good.
Where did it score badly
1) Food hygiene - Served cooked fish with same utensil used to put raw fish on grill in main buffet on first night. Juice glasses in morning were a bit dirty, glasses around the pool were dirty. Gives a poor impression
2) View from our room over car park was depressing. Had I have known I would not have chosen this hotel
3) Air Con in room badly designed. Points down on pillow so you get blasted while you sleep.
4) Beach area was tired and a bit dirty - not the fault of the hotel
If you are not too fussy, like all inclusive then you will probably score this hotel higher than I did
What a great hotel! Absolutely cannot fault anything. The room was beautiful, with a hot tub and a huge balcony area.
We tried all the restaurants over the week, and every one of them had fabulous food and amazing staff. Have to mention Sergio, who sorts anything — nothing was a problem for him.
The Bali beds around the adult pool are free, unlike some places. Pool service, both food and drink, was faultless.
Will definitely be returning in September!
Just spent another week at the Zafiro Andraxt. This our 3rd visit and everything was first class. Check in and check out smoothly done. Food is fantastic in all the Ala carts restaurants and in the Buffet. Rooms clean and kept clean. Every member of staff are always happy and you get exemplary service. Already booked for next year
I was pleasantly surprised by the Zafiro Palace in Andratx. The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. This is a sprawling resort, with hundreds of rooms laid out in a very complicated maze on multiple levels - it took me 3 days to learn my way through the grounds without getting lost. The resort is really geared towards families - especially with young children. Of course, there is (thankfully) an adults-only pool, which made my stay much more pleasant and thus can appeal to singles and couples without kids. The gym and spa were also nice and well-appointed. That being said, most of the staff were truly kind and special and went out of their way to make you happy. The breakfast buffet - for a hotel of this size - was also excellent, but be ready for lots of screaming kids and babies. This is really the perfect place for a family holiday, especially if you can get a room (or rooms) with its own private plunge pools. All in all, know what to expect when coming here if what you're looking for is a big, family-friendly hotel. A solid 4.5-star experience.
I haven’t got a negative word to say about this place, loved it ! Our room was amazing (4204) the view was unreal, service of staff was second to none, cleanliness was 5*, I couldn’t fault ! This is a very quiet resort, in fact maybe too quiet for some, everyone seemed to be in bed by 10.30/11 ! We usually stay in 1 of the hotels on the front but this was a special occasion and wanted a 5* experience, we definitely had that, and it’s literally a 5 min walk down to the front / sea - we will definitely be going back, it’s our new favourite place ❤️
An amazing hotel which is truly 5*. The food is sublime everywhere…the restaurants are all exceptional. Every single member of staff are friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
Great location, beautiful setting. Comfortable rooms with helpful touches- clothes steamer, full size beauty products, beach towels & chic beach bag provided
Nothing
Stayed in e penthouse room with plunge pool and sea view for 2 weeks from late June (deliberately avoided school holidays and weather was amazing).
What a fantastic holiday in a wonderful hotel. Staff were amazing right from arrival to the moment we left.
We booked the Zafiro club which is worth it as you get so many extras, including concierge, mini bar, plenty of pool towels and treats every night left in your room.
The hotel is so clean. Best housekeeping standards we’ve seen in any hotel. The housekeepers are amazing and need recognition.
The standard and choice of food is really good. The buffet in the Market is great both for breakfast and dinner and there are 4 à la carte restaurants available (best to book via hotel app). Tip - check the allergies for dinner in the Market to get an idea of the theme for that night.
Hotel is a short stroll to a lovely beach where you can find a handful of restaurants. Also worth getting a taxi to Andratx Port (only cost 9 euros) where there is a good choice of restaurants.
In summary, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The place is so clean and spacious with great views. The staff cannot do enough for you and we can’t wait to return.
What a lovely hotel! Staff were very friendly, hotel was absolutely immaculate. Restaurants are great, particularly the Italian. We went all inclusive and it was amazing value. I went with my daughter and we felt incredibly safe, a wonderful holiday with lots of laughter.
Beautiful location overlooking Camp de Mar and the Mediterranean.
On arrival by taxi, we were greeted by your lovely staff member who took our luggage and directed us to reception.
Also requiring a mention is - and I’m so sorry I forget his name - your staff member who helped us take our luggage to our room - so welcoming, informative and pleasant!
We found the hotel to be very peaceful and clean, with beautiful well kept grounds.
Our suite was so spacious with jacuzzi on the terrace.
Food was excellent, faultless, the best breakfast buffet I have come across with many restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner - all excellent.
We found the hotel very good value, service was excellent, staff very attentive and welcoming - with top marks to David in the restaurant - such a pleasure to meet you - you are an asset and I will return later in the year with my Spanish improved!
The only thing I would perhaps add is that it would have been nice to receive a more welcoming greeting at the reception desk - it makes all the difference!
We will be returning - fabulous stay x
An excellent hotel with comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. There are several pools to relax in, including an adults only one. The food is excellent in the wide variety of restaurants where a booking is required, or there is the general, self-service buffet. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Room not as good as last year. Too near car park.
As I am an old lady I found the distances walked at night long and sometimes badly lit.
Too many children in pool at times-
Many other guests remarked on this.
The food was excellent everywhere .
This is the 3rd time staying at this hotel. The rooms are of excellent standard. Everywhere in the hotel is immaculately clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk into Camp de Mar where there the lovely Illeta Restaurant on an island but you definitely need to book. Also there is Maria 5 restaurant & bar which has a great vibe and good food but again, you need to book. It is a 10 euro taxi ride to Porto Andratx which is a beautiful village with many excellent restaurants and bars, then another 10 minutes further on is Saint Elm, a smaller fishing village but vibrant with excellent bars and restaurants too.
The hotel was beautiful and we had a lovely room. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The only thing that spoilt our holiday was then poor quality of food at lunchtime. we would have liked more choice perhaps it would have been better if the buffet restaurant was open for lunch. Overall we had a peaceful relaxing holiday.
A wonderful place where each member of staff really cared and made you feel so welcome. The catering for our daughter with gluten and dairy intolerances was better than we’ve had elsewhere. The hotel itself is so well laid out with brilliant facilities but still feels very private in itself.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough if your going as a couple or family it really caters so well for all
Couldn’t fault it
