Zafiro Palace Andratx

A bit of a mixed bag really!
We booked as two friends in a Junior Suite with Private Pool and Zafiro Club Service - All Inclusive Plus

On arrival we were not greeted into reception, nor helped into the hotel with our luggage. We were asked to pay the hotel tax and our cases were taken to our rooms for us. It was dark and we were tired, but we weren't offered any kind of tour, even to say where to go for breakfast the next morning.

There was a fruit platter in our room on arrival.

The following morning it became clear that the Club amenities weren't in our room, so we had to ask. We also had the "wrong coloured towels" left in our room, so when we went to use the Club pool we were questioned as to which room we were in. It was supposed to be a luxury holiday, upgraded to club and I didn't expect it to be such a disappointing arrival and forst day!

Then we went to try to book our included massages, yet they were all booked up! They told us we should have booked before we travelled. We didn't know what our activities or meal times would be before we arrived, so thought this was a bit strange. A la Cartes were also very booked up when we arrived, so if you are going try and download the app and book these in advance.

The food was amazing, however this hotel is NOT allergy aware in any way for people with Shellfish allergies, I can't comment for other allergies. Despite making the hotel aware there was nowhere to find out what the theme in the buffet restaurant was that evening, so we obliviously turned up to seafood night! Shellfish and crustacians everywhere! We didn't have am a la carte booking that evening and were made to feel like an inconvenience on quietly explaining our predicament. We were marched out of the restaurant and told to go the the italian and that they were get us a table there. When we got there, they had no idea we were coming! This was basically the theme for the rest of the stay with regards to help with allergies!

The grounds are lovely, the food we could eat was very nice.

The room was very clean and well stocked once we got the correct amenities for our room class. However we had requested twin beds, all the did was put two duvets on the bed folded over. Good job we are close friends ! It didn't really bother us, but it was just something else to add to the little issues we had all week, which became a big long list!

The hotel arranged a traditional boat trip! Do not book it for the price they charge!!!! We didn't get any snacks and only got offered water when we needed to rinse our mouths when we tried the snorkel gear and it was filthy. The views and the boat trip were amazing, but for the price we were charged I expected all the things that were advertised with the trip! I did bring this up with the hotel, but even though they booked it for us, they said they couldn't help.

We didn't go out on any other trips after the boat trip,where we were dropped off at the wrong location and had a long walk to the boat. On our last day we did get a taxi to the town nearby for some souvenirs, which was a nice quaint place with some nice cafes.

Also don't expect any farewell gift! It is actually just a soap bag that is left on your bed when you actually arrive!

All in all mixed feelings. Reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Allergy awareness is dangerous. Private pool in the outdoor space of our room was like an ice box, but perhaps would be better in the middle of high season.
The food we could eat was very good. The views from the buffet restaurant were fabulous. The complex was nice and clean and the sun loungers were cleaned daily.

There was supposed to be drinks service to your bed at the club pool, but this didn't happen either, the drinks however were very good and with premium spirits.

The feedback from the hotel when I brought all the issues to their attention was not really taken on board while we were there. Afterwards I got an email reply with a non apology, but I offered a very small gesture of goodwill (£150.00) in comparison to the almost £4000 we paid for 5 days stay. Plus the 760 Euros for the terrible service on the boat trip! The hotel did say in my email that
"we would be happy to offer a more personalised pre-arrival planning service and assist in ensuring that all your preferences and requirements are met from the start"
To be honest this should have been done for all guests in the first instance, let alone ones that pay extra for "club class"

Loved this hotel! Our room was beautiful, spacious with plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping excellent. The staff working here are very friendly and work extremely hard at what they do. The rooms are within different blocks, which makes the place feel spacious and spread out. There are a lot of steps as the hotel is built on a hill, but we quite liked that for helping burn off some of those extra holiday calories we consumed!
The choice of pools was really good, although we spent most of our time at the adult pool. The great thing about the pools were how there wasn’t really a culture of racing to reserve a sunbed with your towel each morning! Even though we were there during the busy May half term, we were always able to get a cabana or two sun loungers together, at any time of day.
The buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times in the evening and found the food and drink to be reasonably priced (for a hotel). There were some local restaurants within walking distance and lots of other places you could go via the local bus service or taxi.
We caught the bus into Palma one evening, which was very efficient and good value. Be aware this can be very busy if you want to go first thing in the morning though.
We would stay here again, without question.

Really amazing stay for a Family with a 16 month old. Facilities were brilliant, room was great. Toddler loved it, plan to come back next year!

Third stay. Location, hotel facilities and staff brilliant.

the decline. Market buffet at lunch the first time, tapas in the Market the second and closed for lunch the third. Two options at lunch what I can only describe as snack/junk food on your sunbed around the pool or limited menu at the Veranda restaurant

Just returned from a fantastic stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and were always friendly, helpful, and attentive.

We had a private pool room which was great and nice to be able to return to later in the day. We went all inclusive, which we wouldn’t normally choose, but the food was exceptional with plenty of choice and great quality every day. We would definitely recommend it.

We are a couple and although I’d usually prefer adults only there was enough quiet spaces to enjoy.

Camp de Mar is also fairly quiet, which suited us perfectly, there are a few restaurants within walking distance but there are lots of restaurants and bars just a five-minute taxi ride away if you want to go out and eat.

Our family fully enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The food was exceptional, staff were very friendly and always happy to help and our room with private pool was lovely. The main pool and sky pool were both fab although we preferred the latter as the water seemed warmer and drinks service was much speedier. We were pleasantly surprised how accommodating the hotel was of our baby - plenty of high chairs in the restaurants and parasols round the pool, with a separate baby/toddler pool area too. One minor point was that we didn’t find anywhere away from the pool where there was shade to spend time outside with our baby apart from mealtimes. Even the playground was nearly entirely in the sun for the majority of the day. However, this certainly didn’t spoil our time away and would love to return for another visit.

Can’t express enough how incredible our stay here was. We loved it that much within the first 24 hours we decided to extend our stay 2 more nights.
From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and very helpful. They even sorted a surprise cake & bottle of Prosecco for my husbands bjrthday which was very thoughtful.
Our room was upgraded on arrival to a sea view which was amazing. We had a junior suite which was huge and plenty of room with our 3 month old baby. The hotel provided a travel cot and plenty of bottled water every day. There was also a kettle in the room and a mini fridge which was useful with our baby.
The hotel is immaculate, everywhere was so clean, the rooms, pools, gym etc! Room was cleaned daily & mini bar topped up - all included within the all inclusive as well as room service!
The gym space was great lots of equipment and classes I did the sunrise yoga & paddle board yoga both of which were really good.
Plenty of sun beds to choose from even at the rooftop pool. There was a dj one day at this pool but apart from that no music is played anywhere else which could be nice for some background noise.
The food at zafiro was amazing even in the buffet restaurant! Breakfast buffet is the biggest ive ever seen so much choice! We went to the Asian & steakhouse restaurants as well both of which were lovely. You just pre book them on the app. Only thing which would be useful is to know what theme the buffet restaurant is each day so then you aren’t having 2 similar meals back to back but that would be my only criticism as everything else was fab.
Pharmacy and some small shops a 5 min walk down the hill as well as the beach with a few bars. Illeta restaurante in the sea is lovely if you did want to venture out.
Transfer from airport was 1.5 hours with travel agent so advice is to jump in a taxi which was only 30 mins & around €50 unless you don’t mind waiting.
Overall we had a lovely time, would recommend to anyone & definitely will return!!

My wife and I went with our son and his family which included an 18 month old baby. First impression was of a beautiful hotel in spectacular grounds with smart, professional and attentive staff.
Our room was spacious and well equipped including a jacuzzi and double sun lounger on the balcony. It was a side sea view suite on first floor. It didn’t have the best of views, partly overlooking the car park and had a suite with a plunge pool below which could have been noisy depending on the occupants. Fortunately it was only occupied during one day of our holiday.
I was not a big fan of the style of the bathroom. No door with a small WC contained in a frosted glass cubicle and a powerful shower also contained in a frosted glass cubicle but I accept that this appears to be the design that many new hotels.
We were very happy to see that about 80% of the hotel residents were accompanied by pre-school children and babies, but could not quite understand why as although there was small playground tucked away in a corner of the hotel, there was no other specific facilities or entertainment for children. All the restaurants had high chairs and welcomed children and babies.
As previously mentioned the grounds were spectacular. They were a sun worshippers paradise with around five different pools with hundreds of sun loungers, day beds and cabanas offering different views and varying shade.
Moving on to the food and restaurants.
We ate in all four of the speciality restaurants as well as the main buffet all of which were of a good standard.
Slightly disappointed that there was not a specific pool bar area although drinks and food could be delivered to your sun lounger which is not ideal in hot sun.
Evening entertainment was generally sub standard to what we expected in a 5 star hotel. No pre dinner pianist and the entertainers in the Blue Lounge later in the evening were more suited to a 3 star hotel.
Overall we were very happy with our holiday and the all inclusive terms worked well for us as a family although next time we may choose a hotel with a location more convenient for the beach.

We’ve just come back from an amazing week in Mallorca, our first as a family with our 4 month old baby. Zafiro Palace was such a great hotel for us, friendly staff, great pools, spacious rooms and a brilliant breakfast selection.

I would highly recommend this hotel if travelling with small children as there’s so much space, pram friendly and great pools. The hotel is super clean too with modern interiors.

We chose Bed and Breakfast as like to explore restaurants around the area for dinner. Breakfast was brilliant such a wide selection and the team in the restaurant were so friendly and attentive.

The hotel is a short walk towards the beach, where there are plenty of supermarkets, coffee shop, clothes shopping etc on route. There are also many plenty of taxis plus a bus stop about five minutes walk, which we used to go into Port Andratx in the evening some nights. There is also a bus to Palma which is great for a day trip.

Would 100% return to Zafiro Palace we had a great stay!

We stayed here for 4 nights, it is the 8th time, so as you can imagine we love it here. The staff are outstanding, great restaurants and accommodation.
A special mention for Abdul. The front face of the hotel. Booking again for later in the year !!!!!

A truly beautiful hotel. From arrival to leaving, we felt very well looked after. Staff were fantastic - from pools, reception, restaurants to bar and spa.

Drinks very reasonably priced. Food generally in Majorca found to be more expensive than expected but quality was excellent everywhere we went!

Really family friendly. Felt comfortable wherever we went and there was an adults only pool for those wanting somewhere quieter. Kids enjoyed the egg hunt for Easter and activities at kids club (they only went in a couple of times but was very clean and staff lovely) and the outdoor playground was perfect for the kids to run off some steam.

Pools were well attended by lifeguards and staff serving food and drinks. Plenty of sun loungers but can imagine in height of summer it’s busy.

Location was great with a handful of bars and restaurants in Camp de Mar and plenty more in nearby Port Andratx (€8 taxi/10 mins drive). Beach at Camp de Mar was nice with plenty of beach, for Easter time at least, but walk further round past the big hotel and you’ll find the pebbly beach with some sandy bits and we had the most beautiful peaceful morning there.

Had a couples massage in spa which was blissful and highly recommend for a bit of r&r. Staff were lovely.

One of the things we loved most about this hotel was the Zafiro club room option, which we went for and felt it was such good value for money. Highly recommend going for this. Extra special welcome, pool and bar for Zafiro Club rooms only, separate room block with dedicated concierge, drinks and treats every night and the spa treatment included. Concierge was so helpful, booking restaurants (hotel and external), excursions and anything we needed. Top class service.

One of the best family holidays we’ve had - so relaxing and perfect. We’ll be back!

This is truly a fantastic hotel. The room was stunning. We stayed in block 7 with the extras in Zafiro club. Loved our room and our private pool. Brilliant staff especially the bar staff - Macarena and Sali. In fact, all the staff could not do enough for you, making it a very special holiday. Lovely food with a choice of restaurants for dinner from steak to sushi. The pool areas were very spacious with a lot of very comfortable beds and drinks served as you were sunbathing. Short walk to Camp de Mar where you could find the beach and bars and restaurants. Loved every minute of it and will return next year

A high e d resort and quality suites, exceptional quality and multiple pool options. Staff were consistently attentive and looked after us throughout our stay.

Absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff were so friendly and very helpful. There are too many to name Sergio on concierge, Lucie in the restaurants and Oscar at the club zafiro truck. Rooms were spotlessly clean and no end of towel changes and little touches such as sweets delivered to your room when you were part of the zafiro club. The penthouse suites were also amazing with a two storey balcony. Would definatley recommend. All restaurants and bar areas lovely with superb food and drinks. Location excellent as is near to the beach.
