Beautiful, relaxing, great surf and friendly staff
Pros:

Literally on the beach a short tuk tuk to town. The room is lovely and the staff are fantastic. The food was good, very reasonably priced and cooked fresh. The surfing is also great, highly recommend booking a lesson! We can’t wait to come back!

Un air de paradis
Pros:

Magnifique, l’emplacement au bord de la mer vaut à lui seul la réservation . Ne pas hésiter, tout est fantastique. Le restaurant ouvert non stop, la vue bien entendu, la tranquillité…bref le paradis.

Perfect Stay in Arugam Bay
Pros:

Amazing stay at Blue Waters! We spent 3 nights here and absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and a perfect base for enjoying Arugam Bay. It’s especially ideal if you’re here for surfing, with easy access to the waves and the laid-back surf vibe of the area. A fantastic experience from start to finish — 10/10!

Pros:

Schöne, komfortable und sehr ruhige Hütten direkt sm Strand, Einschlafen mit Meeresrauschen. Guter Strand zum Surfen, auch für Kinder

Bungalow impossible aérer, odeurs pas très agréables. Beaucoup d’humidité dans l’espace salle de bains. Insonorisation inexistante.

Amazing beach hotel with a great view and incredible service.
Pros:

Beautiful view, cosy cabanas with airco. Service was amazing from Mohamed Rinos (I think), to all the other people working their. All were amazing and super friendly. Food was delicious, especially the tuna sandwich

This place definitely dererves much higher ratings than it has. If we could, we would rate this 11/10.
Pros:

We had such a wonderful stay at Blue Waters and just had to share our thanks.

From the very first day, the staff were polite, warm, and truly caring — always ready to help with a smile. The crew of the hotel were incredibly helpful with absolutely everything. Niaz, the owner of the hotel, exchanged dollars for rupees at the highest rate in country. Also the crew arranged for us the safari to Kumana National Park, set up surf lessons, organized tuk-tuk rentals, and took care of so many other little things that made our stay effortless. Their attention and kindness made the whole stay feel personal and easy.

The territory itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean, and our cabana was cozy and well kept. The whole place felt calm and quiet — exactly what we needed to relax and unwind.

The food deserves a special mention too. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. Special thanks to the cook crew for giving us meals in late evenings (even in the off-hours😅).

Thank you to the whole team for such a peaceful and memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back! And we already miss you🫂❤️

quit surfplace for experienced surfers
Pros:

the personnel does its best to accommodate you… very clean hotel in very quiet environment ( except for the mosk at 04:00 in the morning but if you wear earplugs no problem). good laundry service . Very honest and correct manager with great team.

Cons:

nice almost private beach in front but only for experienced surfers… we had to drive quite long to find appropriate surfspot. but tuk tuk service available at hotel). For the price, I think facilities could be better ( was better in less expensive hotels we stayed at) but I guess that’s the price you need to pay to be away from the crowd of Arugam Bay.

Pros:

Le staff était GÉNIAL, attentionné et toujours là pour aider.
La nourriture était délicieuse avec des plats sri lankais à la carte.

Cons:

Il y avait des travaux la journée et des 8h du matin donc pas de grasse matinée mais c’était temporaire tant que c’est pour améliorer le comfort des clients.
Dommage que la plage soit aussi pollué mais ce n’est pas de leur fait…

Pros:

If you are visiting Arugam Bay and want a quiet paradise almost all to yourselves , this is your spot. We loved that it was away from the crowded part of town, spacious , and we had many parts of the beach and waters to explore. Right by the best surf areas. The beach is right there , a few steps away from the rooms. The staff an exceedingly helpful and hard working. They cooked delicious meals and very very flexible about our requests , and prices were very reasonable. We got to have meals served by the beach made just for us , at the prices of what a low- priced restaurant in town would have cost use.

Cons:

There is one feature in some of the doubles rooms you should be aware of : the bathroom is a half walled area. Not a huge problem and others note in the reviews. And also note the area outside the property is near some religious buildings, so modest clothing is best for walking to town from the property ( if you are not travel long by vehicle ).
