I was looking for places near the shubert theater
바에서 식사를 해결할 수 있고 심지어 무료 쿠폰 35불을 매일 쓸 수 있어서 너무 좋았다
It was a central location
The entrance to the hotel was more like some industrial nightclub setting. Check in and bar/lounge area were on the 2nd floor. Restrooms were on 3rd floor. The rooms were a cross between student accommodation and some sort of basic industrial design which we guess was meant to be ‘trendy’ but was not particularly functional. The decor was a dark depressing grey. There was no ironing board/iron in the room. No wardrobe space just pegs on the wall. A table and two fold up chairs (why?) there was no hand basin in the bathroom.. it was a sink and mirror right outside the bathroom door in the bedroom. No vanity area. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. It was on runners so just slid back open. It could be locked from the inside but gave little privacy as it had frosted glass panel on half of the door. When we were laid in bed it was like being in a prison cell. The door wouldn’t stay closed so we were looking directly at the toilet.
The hotel advertised private parking at a cost of $40 per day. When we arrived we were told by someone that we had to hand our keys in to the valet when we checked in. After driving round for half and hour trying to park outside in one of the ‘valet’ parking spaces ( the hotel is on a very busy street corner) we eventually got parked and went to reception , only to be told there was no valet parking and the ‘private parking’ was in fact a public car park a street away at a cost of $45 per day.
On the first night there was a music event going on on the rooftop. At around 1.30 —2 am it sounded like there was a riot going on and metal kegs being thrown ( this may have not been what was going on but it was extremely noisy)
The hotel was not cheap and was a very big disappointment
I wish the room had more space to store clothes and a safe.
Location
Friendly Staff
Clean
TV did not work
Toilet issues on 1st day
Location is good, vibe is nice.
Rooms are super small, unaware of the Moxy brand and the lack of closets, tables, small nightstand, horrible breakfast, eggs seemed like they were cooked 2 hours prior. The elevator took a long time. Heard all the street noise from the night club and I was 22 floors up.
Die Lage ist ideal.
It was such a cool place to stay
Excellent location.. Fun atmosphere
Location, atmosphere, view
The staff was really nice. I was only there for the night before the Boston Marathon...the location was wonderful - 5 minutes from bus pickup for the Marathon. Parking was just down the block. ALthough I didn't take advantage of it, they did accomodate those getting up early to run the Marathon with an early food bar & beverages.
The price for the size room & amenities was inflated compared to other places I have stayed. Considering it was in downtown Boston & the nigt before the Boston Marathon I understand not getting more bang for the buck. There was a lot of outside noise being at a busy corner but they provided a white noise machine in the room to offset some of that.
The location was excellent!! The front desk and the cleaning staff were excellent and friendly. Moxy Bar/Restaurant was fun. . . but. . .
Service in the Moxy Bar was terrible. Nobody who worked there could answer any questions. They knew nothing about anything. I got there one evening for dinner and wanted to watch the NHL Playoffs hockey games. The TV's were all off. I asked if they could put the hockey game on, they told me that the remotes weren't working. I said 'you mean you need new batteries for the remotes?' I got the deer in the headlights blank stare and they wouldn't even try to solve the problem. That was a consistent theme with everything in the bar.
The rooms were absolutely tiny. . .I had no place to even put my suitcase. Luckily I was alone. 2 people in that room would be absolutely claustrophobic!
Location was good for our daughter running the marathon
The Moxy Bar staff was woefully underprepared- they were out of numerous categories of items. Staff seemed untrained and a bit clueless, but nice. It was unbelievable how unprepared they were and the cost of the room was ridiculous. Daughter had NO hot water after the marathon and room was $1000 a night
