Location and staff
Minty soap was burny
The view from the Sea Tower room on the 7th floor room was amazing. We did pay a premium for the rooms in the tower for the view.
The room we had in the tower was mouldy and musty
Visible mould on the curtains and padded furnishings.
No natural ventilation in the tower.
We were offered another room on the same tower, on the 6th floor - in which, the mould was worse.
No other rooms were available in the main building either.
Room was treated with an ozone machine- which made no difference to the quality of our air.
We were refunded 20% of our room rate as compensation. Which was a gesture. But it is an obvious ongoing issue that the hotel is aware of- having purchased an ozone machine to remediate it on request.
Tower needs a retrofit to increase ventilation and relieve the mould situation.
Checkin and access to facilities were good.
Breakfast was not that great, limited selection of fruit.
We loved our stay the pool area was beautiful and loved the rooftop bar.
Just felt the room could of been cleaner.
Swimming pool
My room was on the bar side, it's to noisy, every night people are drinking and talking there until the mind night, I can't sleep well
Rooms nice, spatious.
The service is ridiculously bad. Mainly surrounding the pool and in the paper crane restaurant. There appears to be no system at all in how food and bevs are brought out. Despite having table numbers, the staff walk around aimlessly asking random people if they might have ordered this. Every time, by the time the coffee or food arrives its cold because theyve walked it around for 30mins. The staff behind the bar all seem to act as if its their first day, and no one has heard of any classic cocktail. It took 3 staff members to work out how to make a campari and orange juice, after stating they dont do that 'cocktail', to which I responded I have had it before from this bar, and it still came out wrong. The breakfast is absolute chaos, no staff know whats going on.
Great location, kids loved the pool, place was clean and staff were friendly.
The only thing and it was minor was it took reception/room service 4 tries to answer, but it was 10:20ish pm.
A good beach resort. However, you can only swim in the pool, as due to the tides the sea is practically inaccessible.
There is almost always a queue for breakfast. Tables are not cleared, and the mattresses are very soft.
Amazing facilities, loved the mango tango cocktails and the spa!
There was a mouldy smell in my room so I opened the windows and switched the air conditioner off! I think the previous guest must have over spilled the bath water onto the carpets
Gorgeous hotel with beautiful pools, comfortable large rooms with views of the Coral Sea. Great restaurants & loved the cocktails by the pool, amazing friendly team always with a smile. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough! Have stayed before & will again
The view of the sea
Very plain room decoration
Great facilities
Genuinely the best accommodation I have stayed in, in a long time and for the price it is great. We stayed in the top tower which was very very nice and it was my birthday as well so it was a treat. The view is amazing and the room was so spacious and lush, it was amazing, the bathroom is top tier with great modern facilities and the pool area is huge with shaded and full sun areas so you do get the most sunlight. I can’t wait to return here one day.
Odd smell in the escalator
The view was amazing
