Nice hotel generally, good location but staff were the most unhelpful with no idea of customer service
Pros:

Convenient location for hiking Mt Fuji and if you want the Onsen experience without the huge price. Breakfast was good. Liked the lounge and some outside space at the front, even in the hotel rooms of the main building. The 2 bookable Onsens were both nice. Used to washing machine on our last day which was good to have. We stayed 3 nights in total, 2 in the hotel room and one in the Japanese traditional Onsen room with private garden.

Cons:

As soon as we arrived we asked about booking the bikes for the next day. One of the reasons for choosing this hotel. One staff member said oh Lake Kawagachi is really far and very hilly to cycle. We foolishly believed him. Deciding to walk and get the sightseeing bus. We were shocked to find nothing could have been further from the truth. Really ruined that day as cycling would have given us so much flexibility and pleasure. The bus service was unreliable and we walked to the lake in the end anyway.
Also at breakfast the staff wouldn’t make any eggs at 8.50am . 40 minutes before breakfast ended. As a vegetarian very disappointing. I was also travelling with 2 vegans and informed them a few days before and told to find food in a convenience store. So we bought the soya milk when they could easily have done this for us.
Then after we returned from Mt Fuji at 11am didn’t seem to try and get our room ready any earlier. A night in the mountain huts is not ideal and we really wanted to get into our onsen. They managed at 2.15 rather than 3pm. No idea on customer service.

La gentillesse de la réceptionniste du matin

Cons:

Chambre sale, délabrée, avec de la moisissure, réceptionniste de la journée antipathique et peu arrangeant, déjeuner très limité avec assiette en carton et cuillère en plastique. Le prix de la chambre était plus élevé que l’hôtel 5 étoiles que nous avons réservé à Hiroshima. Les photos sont trompeuses.onsen privé sur une terrasse cassée..
