Andy at the front desk was AWESOME!
Pros:

Andy and Jerry at the front desk made everything so wonderful! They both went out of their way to make sure I was totally taken care of and that I had everything I needed during my stay. I appreciate you both so much!

Crowded room and hard bed but location and staff were great
Pros:

It was very close to everything so we enjoyed walking all over and the staff were all very kind.

Cons:

Very uncomfortable hard bed and the room felt much smaller than it needed to due to unnecessary chairs and a large broken cooking unit. The bathroom fan did not work.

Good location but very crowded room, uncomfortable bed
Pros:

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the room felt so much smaller than it had to because of unnecessary chairs. We barely had a spot to place our luggage and had to move it every time we went in and out of the room. Besides that, the staff was great and we enjoyed the location.

Ideal hotel for excellent staff and convenient location
Pros:

Highly recommend this hotel for many reasons but most importantly, the staff! From the doorman to the front desk staff (shout out to Andy !) they were all exemplary and so very helpful! Whether they were checking to see if we needed anything at all to giving great dining recommendations, they were always there and ready to help! The location is also pretty amazing as you are right on Columbus Circle, close to the Park and many shops and easy short walk to many subway stations. NYC hotels are always a bit smaller than most but this team makes you forget that and feel right at home!

Great location, superb clean hotel
Pros:

Lovely room, compact and almost windowless, but I like it like that. Air con worked very well at all temperatures required. Shower was hot, nice and powerful too. Bottled water by bedside and fridge worked too. No need for shower gel, shampoo, conditioners, body lotion or hand wash - all supplied. Clean fluffy towels each day. Friendly folk at reception. I felt safe and comfortable there. Handy for the subway and Times Square etc. Bakery nibbles in lounge to start the day - FLOOR 2, take your keycard!!

Cons:

All good!

The perfect uptown hotel
Pros:

After a cancelled flight, I arrived from the airport feeling frazzled. Mikhail instantly made me feel at home by getting me water, snacks and directions. The location is close to 5th Avenue shopping, Central Park and within walking distance of the Hudson River Greenway; but it is on a calm street free of noise. The room contains a small desk for business needs. It is clean and quiet. There are several good restaurants on the block. Mikhail assists with taxis.
Thank you again, Mikhail and staff for making me feel welcome. I will come again.

Pros:

Gute Lage und sehr ruhig im Zimmer.

Cons:

Hotel sehr dunkel
Kaum Tageslicht im Zimmer ausser in den Suiten.
Breakfast Continental stimmt nicht. Es hat nur Kaffee und einen Teller mit Süssgebäck. Ist jeden Tag das gleiche. Nur Grab an Go.

I liked that the room was a double. It was spacious. The location was good and there was parking right next door. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Cons:

There was an air conditioning unit in the window. There was not central air conditioning. The bathroom was small.

Small boutique hotel with a relaxed stay
Pros:

NYC trip to see a Broadway musical. We stayed at the Moderne Hotel for one night and it was the perfect location. Close to Times Square and the Theater District, but far enough away so there is much less Broadway street noise. The front desk staff, and all employees we had interactions with, were very friendly and helpful. Our room (2 Doubles) was quite spacious compared to other NYC hotel rooms I have stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel does not have too many amenities, but they do offer free coffee and tea in their guest lounge. Pastries were also provided in the am for a quick bite to eat. If you are looking for a place to stay while exploring Midtown, I would definitely keep this hotel in mind.

Comfortable and convenient
Pros:

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The staff was super helpful and the room, although small, was very comfortable. Liked being able to get coffee there early. Also liked the convenience of being not too far from the city’s bike trail, Central Park and Rockefeller Plaza.
