Nightmare hell hole

Coming from Soho boutiques perfect hotel in Santander this could not have been more different.
There was an extremely loud festival outside the door due to go on till 5or 6 the next morning. In reality I was paying €163 to be kept awake all night.
The receptionist said I'd been informed of this which I disputed. Her attitude stuck.
The room was tiny with 1 socket in the middle of the headboard.
The safe didn't work so the receptionist came up to fix it and started to shout at me because I called her a liar about reciveing a message about the noise. She seemed to think 6 in the morning was an acceptable time. Her attitude was very poor.
We booked another hotel with booking. Com and the staff were lovely and had a great night's sleep. I want a full refund for this disaster and will happily to the press to highlight how poorly we were treated.
The receptionist turned on the water works for my wife while I was out after probably realising you don't yell at customers.
I think this is the only bad review I've ever posted

Pros:

Ubicación excelente. Buen desayuno. El personal muy amable.

Cons:

Si la estancia coincide con las fiestas de San Mateo, no se puede dormir en las habitaciones que dan a la plaza. El personal hace lo posible por ayudar, pero el ruido es insufrible. Fuera de esas fechas, la zona es estupenda.

It was a great location and good value for money, a short stay hotel
Pros:

The location was great, right in the centre of the city, in the old part.

Cons:

The decor was a bit worn and tired. There was free parking at the hotel, but no effort was made to point it out or indicate where it was located before we arrived. The hotel entrance is located in a pedestrianised area, but the parking appears to be at the rear, which is not pedestrianised.

Diferencias entre vistas o no vista a la catedral.
Pros:

Destacaría la ubicación y el entorno del hotel y lo bonito que es el edificio por fuera. El personal de recepción educado y correcto. Tenía lo esencial para pasar unos días.
Bonitas vistas las de la sala junto al ascensor. Lástima que no hayan podido ser las de mi habitación.

Cons:

En mi opinión y teniendo en cuenta que me tocó una habitación interior creo que ésta no se ajusta al precio pagado. Creo que sería mejor que ofrecieran habitaciones con o sin vistas aunque fuera pagando otro precio. Despues de leer las opiniones y ver las fotos de otros viajeros, no es la misma experiencia las vistas a un patio interior que a la catedral de Oviedo. Esta vez no ha habido suerte. Tampoco me gustaron los pasillos con moqueta ni la salita de uso común que estaba en mi piso.
