Nice rooms, clean interior, beautiful pool/courtyard,
I saw the rates on a booking site and called the reservation line of LaQuinta to verify breakfast, pool was open, and what pet fees were. Then they wanted me to book directly for almost $250 more than the booking site before fees. When I declined I was threatened that if I booked the other way my room might be given away and not available because if rooms are overbooked or needed, lowest rate reservations get canned. He also told me pet fees were $20/night with a $40 max and there was a full breakfast. When I arrive I’m charged per fee of $25 per night for four nights at $100 total. I was told if I wanted accurate info, I should have called the property not the LaQuinta reservation line because they changed their policy 2 years ago. Breakfast is a joke based on offerings and isn’t restocked so they say it’s until 9 am but both days we tried, we were told “we had xyz but that ran out early and we don’t restock that this late” even though there were 6 people standing there 30 minutes before end of service. Then watched the guy carry 6 biscuits from the back in his bare hands with no gloves and plop them in the server before he rearranged the whole pan of muffins with bare fingers and then settled in at a table with his phone and coffee while guests had nothing to eat. The front desk person spent far more of her shift outside smoking than at the desk so there was often no one to answer the phone and when my key card didn’t work several different times and I got locked out, no one there to fix it for extended periods. On the up side she got fired while we were there. At checkout another employee asked me to give her $20 so she could Uber home after work. And when I sent an email about all of the above, I got a response that I should not have gotten my info from a 3rd party booking site, which I didn’t and was explained in my email. All info straight from their guest services line. So every employee I encountered right up to corporate failed at their job.
Room was super clean
The other guests.
The first host was nice. Verbally quoted one price for the pet fee. However the second host charged another. I have two pets one is at 56 lbs. a large pup and a 15 lb 1 yr old. I suppose the First Gentleman felt a five dollar discount on each averaged their combined weight. But the Second Lady did not. And stuck to their policy.
We had to book and check in late night, the lady at the front desk was wonderful, we got to our room and needed some sheets for our sons sofa bed, and they got it to us very quickly and even gave him an extra pillow without having to ask. Overall it was great we had zero issues!
NA
Loved the location! Loved the comfort of the bed!
TVs are outdated. Some of the staff was a little rude.
staff was nice
building has some repairs needed - walls, elevator. could tell updates were needed. All TV's had bad pictures, kinda fuzzy, they are old. also, need more channel options. Requested bottom floor due to back surgery on booking twice, was completely ignored. put on 3rd floor instead, read your requests or don't ask for them.
Ok
No eggs
I like the location on the other side of the lake
No
Location, cleanliness, value
Barking dog in room next to us.
The front desk agent was professional and friendly. Room is a little outdated but was nice and clean. Good location, close to the places I needed to go. Atmosphere was welcoming and serene. Value, price is a bit high since rooms need updating. Low to no noise. Breakfast was not good definitely need better choices.
