Great little hotel in a nice part of the city. We booked a few rooms and I ended up having one with an extremely big bed - cannot remember the room category. I'd say unless booking for a family, that size bed is completely unnecessary and a smaller room category would be recommended. It's too big for the room size. Otherwise, all is lovely - the staff, the comfort, the location - I'd come back. The bar upstairs was also very good and their drinks were great.
Really great location, great rooms. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff was supervise and attentive, the interiors were beautiful and the location was just right for us. The Lively is nestled in an upscale residential area that is both quiet and central. It took us both 20 mins to Shibuya and to Ginza. The Roppongi Hill Towers with the Mori Art Museum and Observation deck as well as a really nice shopping center that offers great Japanese brands away from the touristy spots made Azabu-Juban the perfect area for us. The staff is super attentive. They even kept pars of our luggage stored while we travelled to Kyoto and Hakone for a few days, so we were able to travel lightly and didn't have to book extra space on the Shinkansen. We absolutely loved the Lobby bar with its pool table and the Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm where guest could mingle and relax. It felt so cozy and welcoming. We also made much use of the coffee station there that offered coffee specialities free of charge 24/h (great for the jet lagged!). The roof top bar was another highlight. Super delicious cocktails and a great view over Tokyo Tower. We can highly recommend the superior rooms - ours were corner rooms that had a good sizing (for Tokyo) and an extra window for more daylight.
Thank you to everyone at The Lively for making our stay a special time. We will definitely be back!
Clean, friendly and helpful staff well located for underground.
Nothing
Stylish boutique vibe, exceptionally clean, quiet rooms, lovely staff and lovely location.
Nothing
Good location, spacious room, lots of freebies and good cleaning
Very nice hotel, clean, great area, close proximity to restaurants, quiet, stylish
Breakfast was very good - I just wish there was more variety
Perfect
Only small feedback about the bed: I am 1.90 tall and the bed was a bit tight for me and my wife. But it shouldn‘t be considered as a bad review:)
Location, style, cocktail bar, breakfast, helpful staff
Room was on the small side
Great Location and very comfortable bed.
Breakfeast - no Japanese options and not a big variety in the buffet, could improve.
The attention to detail, comfort and vibe. Location was great, with lots of restaurants and local bakeries.
The smoking room is not great. I know in Japan there are laws that require smoking to be contained, but the room could be a bit more Lively.
The breakfast was great. The bed was massive and comfortable, and the bath, in general, the hotel was really nice.
Honestly, nothing specific. We were just a little bit taken aback by the price, but I don't believe it's the hotel. Overall, Japan was expensive
Perfect spot for hanging out in Tokyo. Good for the business or leisure traveler. It’s well set up, the rooms are clean and big enough. The guest lounge is a nice touch and means you can get out of your room for a bit. Breakfast is simple but good choices and nicely presented. Coffee on tap, and complimentary beer from 5-6pm. The location is really good, with metro nearby and easy to get around Tokyo. Nice vibe and cool neighborhood too. Staff were great too.
Nothing.
