The shuttle service from subway station "Karasumaoike" around No.2 exit operates from 08:20 to 21:40 every 20 minutes and costs of free of charge.

Kyoto stay
Pros:

Everything to like about this hotel, from the room, the service, the cleanliness, the free shuttle to downtown, all first rate. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kyoto.

Pros:

落ち着いたロケーションで人も少なく、御所からも近いので、今回の旅にはうってつけのホテルでした。30年くらい前に一度お世話になったこともあり、素晴らしいホテルであることは承知していましたが、相変わらず素敵でした。朝食も期待どおりでした。2日目の朝体調が優れず自分だけ朝食を諦めていましたが、家族が気を使って部屋でとれるようにルームサービスをお願いしてくれましたので、美味しい和食を運んでいただき、胃の調子が悪かったにもかかわらず、ほぼたいらげてしまいました。優しいおかゆとお惣菜のおかげで、元気を取り戻し、京都滞在最終日も普通に観光できました。スマートで優しいご対応をありがとうございました。

Cons:

2階のお部屋に宿泊したのですが、週末ということもあって、たくさんの方がロビーにおられ、話し声がかなりにぎやかで、廊下に出ると騒々しい感じがしました。

LEE was the best, spoke very good English. He helped me sort out my car rental situation.
