We had an overall pleasant stay at The Peninsula Bangkok. The hotel has a beautiful riverside setting, spacious and comfortable rooms, and lovely views over the Chao Phraya River. The complimentary boat service is also a convenient and enjoyable way to cross the river.

Cons:

The hotel is very clean and well maintained, but some parts are beginning to feel dated and could benefit from modernization. Considering the reputation and price level of The Peninsula, we had also expected a warmer and more welcoming attitude from the staff. Service was generally professional, but not always particularly friendly or personal.

Pros:

The location of the hotel is spot on. Right on the river and beautiful hotel boats taking you to the mall and other stops along the river to continue site seeing.
The rooms are a bit dated but it adds to the classic charm.

Cons:

The breakfast is very sub standard. It did not feel like a 5 star experience at all. Low quality food and limited choice.
The front office staff were not the most helpful and the concierge gave us wrong information but eventually we spoke to Anna on the concierge desk who was super helpful:

We had an absolutely wonderful three-night stay at The Peninsula Bangkok. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful rooms, immaculate facilities and breathtaking views of the river.

What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, professional and genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The level of service was outstanding and made our stay truly memorable.

It is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, and we can’t wait to return. We would highly recommend The Peninsula Bangkok.
