Parfait
Pros:

L'accueil. Tout est fait par les responsables (en particulier Rosen et Dimitris) et par le personnel pour que le séjour soit parfait.
La localisation tout à fait centrale de l'hôtel.
La beauté du décor intérieur qui combine modernité et références au passé.
Le confort de la chambre et la propreté des lieux.

Pros:

The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were comfortable, although slightly outdated in some areas. A special thank you to Krasimir, the person who brings coffee and tea to the rooms. Even though it was outside of his direct responsibilities, he kindly helped us get a stand for our suitcase, which was very much appreciated. Service like his truly makes a difference.

Cons:

To reach a full 10/10 experience, I believe the hotel could focus on improving the housekeeping service. I noticed several comments mentioning this already, and our experience was similar.

During our stay, some room consumables were not refilled consistently, and on two separate occasions we requested additional towels and a duvet, but the requests were forgotten and required follow-up from our side.

There were also a few cleanliness details that did not match the standards expected from a five-star hotel. For example, in room 503 - there was visible dust buildup on the bedside lamps that appeared to have been there for quite some time, and the back of the hairdryer had accumulated hair and dust. Small details like these leave an impression.

My recommendation would be for the housekeeping team to work with a detailed room checklist to ensure consistency and avoid missed items. Better internal communication between reception and housekeeping could also significantly improve the guest experience.

With stronger training, attention to detail, and better communication between staff, the hotel could easily elevate the overall experience.

One additional point: the room did not include a desk or a working chair, which made it difficult to work efficiently from the room.

Staff walking in and knocking in the room 5 times 2 hours before check out

The size and layout of the room

Cons:

I did not like the breakfast which was lukewarm and hasbrown tasted freezer burnt. It was not a 5 star hotel breakfast quality, barely 4 star in my opinion.

For the staff, my check out was at noon and a staff nearly walked in the room while I was sleeping (I had the physical lock on so they couldn't open the door fully) at 10am. After that, 3 more staff knocked on the door to see if I had checked out or was about to. I figured maybe the check out time on booking.com differed from what the hotel was expecting. I confirmed with reception and check out was indeed at noon. So instead of being consistently walked on while changing and preparing I left the hotel early to go sit at the airport instead.

Also, the valet outside was speaking on his phone instead of helping with luggage, not sure why they bother having a valet

Hotel needs to work on maintenance to maintain 5 star quality. Upholstery needs cleaning and hallways touched up with paint since walls are currently scratched up.

Perfect stay in the heart of Sofia
Pros:

Loved this super central classy hotel: room had both old-time class like marble bathroom and modern-day amenities. I had champagne as complimentary gift from the hotel! Amazing! Breakfast was excellent. Bed and towels were very comfortable and bath amenities were Clarins.

Pros:

Emplacement extra, en plein cœur de Sofia.
Belle chambre, bien équipée mais pas si spacieuse…
Communs beaux et stylés, bien entretenus.
Très bon petit-déjeuner.

Disappointing - not a five star service.
Pros:

Location- very central, quiet.

Cons:

Definitely not a 5 star service. During our three night stay, our room was not cleaned at all. When we requested housekeeping at 6pm on the third day, they did not arrive until 9.30pm when we were back from dinner. 241 guest rooms and only one receptionist so long waits at reception. We didn’t have breakfast but noted long queues - over 20 people. No wardrobe- small bedside drawers only. Bedside light and socket didn’t work. Shower gel, conditioner, shampoo incorrectly labelled so gave using after using conditioner as body wash. Shame, as it was Clarins.
