Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt. Das Hotel ist wunderschön. Unser Zimmer war perfekt, groß und jeden Tag gründlich gereinigt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Wir kommen wieder!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. Close to Union Square and within walking distance to the Ferry Building, Oracle Park and SFMOMA, and one of the few hotels that has a pool and a hot tub. Known for its history (built in 1875) and it's glass-domed restaurant, and comfortable rooms.
It is important to mention their Concierge team. I believe the Concierge is an integral part of the hotel and hospitality industry, and needs to be kept alive. The entire Palace Concierge team are incredible and they all belong to Les Clefs D'Or (IYKYK), which is amazing. They are true ambassadors to their hotel and the city; I would like to highlight and mention Chinatsu, Jose and Malia, who were all truly amazing in providing restaurant recommendations (The Plow-thank you Chinatsu and Ozumo-thank you Jose) and doing what they could to ensure my experience was an elevated one. I didn't get to interact with the entire team, but I can imagine they are all amazing!

We had a great time the rooms were beautiful and the food at the pied piper was good. Jorge T was great and told us the great places to check out.
What a wonderful property! The staff is warm, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are lovely. I slept like a baby on the mattress and the bath products are great. Breakfast is absolutely amazing (and Sam was fantastic!) the location is central to everything. We had a flawless stay. 10/10!!
We celebrated an 80th birthday for a dear friend and everyone at The Palace Hotel was so helpful. From Sarabjeet helping make the reservation to Min providing excellent service during our Afternoon Tea, the whole experience was wonderful.

I stayed here to go to Outside Lands, as it was one of the Chase Edit options. The staff were so helpful, helping me with breakfast reservations at the in-house Garden (delicious, best breakfast buffet I've ever had), as well as storing my luggage after my check-out as I finished up my time at the festival. The room was spotless and I enjoyed the little touches, from the super cushiony hotel slippers and Byredo products in the bathroom. THERE WAS A TOTO WASHLET TOO. I also just love the atmosphere of the hotel - they took care in preserving historical touches, while giving the space a luxurious feel. It had all of the modern amenities and luxuries without being another cookie-cutter "modern" hotel.
Hotel aside, the location is very convenient, located less than a 5-minute walk from the BART Montgomery and Muni transit station. There's a couple of food and cafe spots in the immediate area, and everything else is a short train ride away.
My stay at the Palace was such a pleasant surprise, and I would definitely recommend and stay here again!
The rooms are lovely but the highlight was breakfast in the beautiful garden court with service from Elena!! She lights up the room and welcomed me warmly each morning. The continental buffet is European style and complimentary for Bonvoy status members. Perfect two days here in this hotel with 150 years of memories!
The restaurant is such a beautiful setting with amazing food and service. The stained glass is iconic and classic San Francisco. Min was our waiter and he was knowledgeable any attentive. He had waited on me before and was so wonderful!

Unser Zimmer lag direkt gegenüber einer anderen Bar, die sehr laute Musik spielte. Als wir um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten haben, wurde uns dieser Wunsch unmittelbar erfüllt. Vielen Dank, wir sind mit 2 Kindern gereist.

Der Pool war an nicht sonnigen Tagen sehr kalt,wahrscheinlich durch die Klimaanlage des angrenzenden Fitness Raumes. Lärm durch die aktuellen Bauarbeiten.
We visited the Palace Hotel in San Francisco on July 30, 2026, we had a great dinner and the service was wonderful. Our waitress Cecilia was the the best, she made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing.
