My husband and I attended a couples retreat that was hosted at the Marriott. From the time we checked in to the end of our stay, the staff was exceptional. Shout out to Justin at check in for helping us get an additional reservation for my in-laws and Calesa in the hotel restaurant for excellent customer service. I would definitely stay again!

My wife and I came to Marriott Birmingham to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary and attend the weekend to Temember Marriage conference hosted by Family First. We had no idea what to expect. When we stepped into the hotel my wife and were greeted at the door by a smiling front desk agent named Latia. She was extremely welcoming and ready to assist us with our luggage. She got us a cart, answered questions and met our needs immediately and we hadn’t even made it to the front desk. Once we arrived at the front desk a cheerful, kind and pleasant young lady named Brandy checked us in with warmth, excitement and familiarity that made us feel like old friends coming home for a visit that she was really glad to see again. (we’ve never been to this hotel and never met this lady before, but you wouldn’t know it from her interaction with us). Brandy and Latia then cheerfully and willingly loaded our luggage on the cart for us after explaining hotel amenities and giving us directions to our room. The room was great (but strangely had no drawers). David, the morning front desk agent, was kind enough to upgrade us after learning that we were here celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. He was so polite and professional on the phone and seemed honored to be able to bless us with this room for this momentous occasion. We then went to the M-Bar and met the host Brandie who also made us feel welcome and right at home. She served us some wonderful buffalo chicken dip, pot stickers, cookies, chips and drinks and wonderful conversation. We talked like old friends catching up she is so kind, Caring and giving.
Great customer service is clearly the expectation, epitome and focus of staff at Marriott Birmingham. This was just day one. But what a GREAT first impression.
I hope we are able to enjoy breakfast all weekend. The only issue, if you want to call it that was, there seemed to be some confusion as to whether the full hot breakfast would be free for us this weekend, even though we are here with the marriage conference and celebrating our 32nd Anniversary. (I was under the impression it would be free/comped for us)
Hopefully someone will clear all that up and take care of that for us just as they have done thus far during our stay. We would truly appreciate it. But so far, So excellent!

My, stay at the grand Marriott was a very pleasant day. Two associates was very kind and courteous Angela Tolbert and in housekeeping Zazie, which is spelled ZAXY very kind very helpful. My day was wonderful and I will be returning to the Marriott Birmingham, 3590 Grandview Parkway that’s on 280.
Great location and nice staff.
Very limited menu at restaurant on-site. No outdoor pool.
The mini fridge in my room was not cold.

I had a wonderful experience working with the Marriott team for my recent event. Kayla Wallace, Sales Manager, stayed in constant communication from beginning to end and made the planning process seamless. Jarvis, Banquets Manager, was extremely accommodating the day of the event and was an absolute breeze to work with.
All food and beverage breaks arrived on time, which helped the entire day run smoothly and kept our schedule on track. Jessica Knight was also incredibly helpful and always just a text away anytime I needed anything throughout the event.
I truly appreciate how supportive and attentive everyone was. Their professionalism and teamwork helped make my very first event at the Marriott a success, and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

My stay at the Marriott Birmingham was very short! I checked in around 7 PM and checked out 5 AM the next morning. Even though it was short, my stay was very comfortable, and the service was excellent. The location of this hotel relative to my son's school couldn't be better.
Beginning with check-in, the gentleman who checked me in, Maxwell, is one of Marriott’s best! He was courteous, professional, friendly, he recognized and thanked me for my status (in my experience, the check-in personnel recognize my status less than half the time), and we had a very pleasant exchange. He was helpful in getting me an 2nd room for my son and his roommate . They had signed out of their dorm room and needed a place for the night. We are grateful you all had the availability! He also offered me water and explained about where everything was in the hotel.
Next, I took advantage of the lounge and ordered some wine. The bartender was also professional.
The changes that y’all have made to the hotel are great! The Marriott Birmingham is not the newest property in Marriott’s portfolio, but the upgrades that have been made make the hotel feel more fresh and up to date. the room was crisp-looking and clean. It looked new! What a welcome refresher for us guests. See you again!
We could not check in early as requested. Then we did not get the message that our room was ready until 6:30 PM. Price of room for one night was too expensive. At breakfast the following morning was greatly under staffed . Otherwise, room was clean, we felt safe, staff was friendly, all needs met.

The cleanness and the staff was very friendly
Very disappointed. We stayed here in 2025 and all went well. This stay the bathroom floor was filthy and my shoes stuck to the floor. We had no hand soap or amenities at the bathroom sink. The carpet was dirty, and stained near the bed. The bed was made, but short sheeted. We will choose another hotel next visit.
